Netanyahu: Iran a threat to the world.

Ariel Sharon has been dead for over a decade kept artificially alive by a machine, where is the messiah? I doubt the Jews will magically accept him when they rejected him 2000 years ago.

Each religion has its end of days prophecies, and if you interpret them all in certain ways they all match up to each claims, so which one is right?

Israel, Iran and ISIS are just bunch of crazies trying to self fulfill prophecies, its almost laughable.

I suspect most people can see the blokes a retard. In the same way most people know Iran has a relatively moderate leadership for the Middle East at the moment, has never been an aggressive nation compared to other powers, is actively fighting ISIS, has a traditional enemy in Pakistan rather than anyone Eastwards, has a lot of Jews in the country, has traditionally protected and integrated Jews better than a lot of Western countries, etc etc. And they aren't Arabic either (despite what certain people on these forums may think) they are predominately Indo-European in origin exactly the same as most people in Europe with blonde hair and blues eyes not exactly being uncommon to see.

yup - quite nice women too...

though they are still a bit aggressive by proxy - do fund/support shia groups etc... did want to assassinate an author in the 80s/90s, are still run by mad mullah types

then again the student protests showed some hope and there is a very large young population

Actually he didn't say it was Jesus, that was added later by some of his followers after his death...but why let facts get in the way. He was a Kabbalist as well, so not very unusual either, as he was a Jewish mystic (a respected one nonetheless)
He was shrewd in not allowing the note to be read for a year after his death. There is a Jewish tradition that you can not speak ill of the dead a year after they have passed.

The note said.

He will lift the people and prove that his word and law are valid.
Yarim Ha’Am Veyokhiakh Shedvaro Vetorato Omdim

ירים העם ויוכיח שדברו ותורתו עומדים

The initials spell the Hebrew name of Jesus יהושוע . Yehoshua and Yeshua are effectively the same name, derived from the same Hebrew root of the word “salvation”

Nothing was added. Seek the truth.

He was kept alive yes.

Find out yourself which is right.

What prophecies are Israel trying to fulfill, the one that says Russia, aligned with Iran and Turkey will come against them to try and destroy them?

Aside from the fact you have simply repeated something I said earlier in this thread about the root of Jesus...

The note appears a year after his death, it didn't mention the actual name Jesus or any name in fact, some people have extrapolated it from the message...not unlike the Bible Code nonsense or Nostradamus.

He was also a Kabbalist not part of the recognised halakhah, so had no legal status in Judaism, in fact he was a member of a Jewish mystic cult, not mainstream Judaism.

Even amongst his own followers there are major questions over the authenticity of the note, which the leaders of his own seminary saying that the note is fake.

His own son Rabbi David Kaduri, said his father left no such note and it was a blasphemy against his fathers reputation.

His grandson Rabbi Yosef Kaduri, said his grandfather spoke of the messiah often in his last days, but again left no note nor named the messiah, saying that The Messiah will make himself known.

So stop falling for nonsense conspiracy theories.

Israel Today was given access to many of the rabbi’s manuscripts, written in his own hand for the exclusive use of his students. Most striking were the cross-like symbols painted by Kaduri all over the pages. In the Jewish tradition, one does not use crosses. In fact, even the use of a plus sign is discouraged because it might be mistaken for a cross.

But there they were, scribbled in the rabbi’s own hand. When we asked what those symbols meant, Rabbi David Kaduri said they were “signs of the angel.” Pressed further about the meaning of the “signs of the angel,” he said he had no idea. Rabbi David Kaduri went on to explain that only his father had had a spiritual relationship with God and had met the Messiah in his dreams …

So then why does Israel Today agree with me and dispute everything you just said? Even showing that the handwriting of the note wasn't authentic...

:D

Kaduri was the most venerated ultra orthodox Rabbi in Israel.

He was a Sephardic Haredi Kabbalist. And no one said he wasn't venerated, only that the claims you are making on his behalf that he said Jesus Christ was the coming messiah are false.

From the Israel Today link you posted.

When the name of Yehoshua appeared in Kaduri’s message, ultra-Orthodox Jews from his Nahalat Yitzhak Yeshiva (seminary) in Jerusalem argued that their master did not leave the exact solution for decoding the Messiah’s name.

Israel Today spoke to two of Kaduri’s followers in Jerusalem who admitted that the note was authentic, but confusing for his followers as well. “We have no idea how the Rabbi got to this name of the Messiah,” one of them said.

Yet others completely deny any possibility that the note is authentic.

Exactly, The leaders deny the naming, his son and grandson deny he wrote it...only two unnamed followers claim it's authentic, even when his own son proves it wasn't even in his fathers handwriting. here is the bit you conveniently left out.

In an interview with Israel Today, Rabbi David Kaduri, 80, the son of the late Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri, denied that his father left a note with the name Yeshua just before he died. “It’s not his writing,” he said when we showed him a copy of the note. During a night-time meeting in the Nahalat Yitzhak Yeshiva in Jerusalem, books with Kaduri’s handwriting from 80 years ago were presented to us in an attempt to prove that the Messiah note was not authentic. When we told Rabbi Kaduri that his father’s official website (www.kaduri.net) had mentioned the Messiah note, he was shocked. “Oh no! That’s blasphemy.

some people took them seriously - I'd assumed it was a widely watched show :D

Thats religious nutjobs for you :)...

OK Two followers say it was authentic. His Son denies it and "attempts", as Israel Today stated, to disprove it.

Someone is not right.

Must be quite shocking to for a Jewish Father to make such a confession.

Did you really believe this would not go unchallenged.

I don't think he mentions the name of the messiah. The note itself, even if authentic doesn't support this unless you try to do all sorts of linguistic gymnastics. Even when you read the note itself (as its reproduced on several sites) it is noticeable that the translation is somewhat erratic, And it simply doesn't say Yeshua at all. That is just some extrapolation some have made to suit their beliefs.

The best bits from that IT link.

Kaduri’s Portrayal of the Messiah

A few months before Kaduri died at the age of 108, he surprised his followers when he told them that he met the Messiah. Kaduri gave a message in his synagogue on Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, teaching how to recognize the Messiah. He also mentioned that the Messiah would appear to Israel after Ariel Sharon’s death. (The former prime minister is still in a coma after suffering a massive stroke more than a year ago.) Other rabbis predict the same, including Rabbi Haim Cohen, kabbalist Nir Ben Artzi and the wife of Rabbi Haim Kneiveskzy.

Kaduri’s grandson, Rabbi Yosef Kaduri, said his grandfather spoke many times during his last days about the coming of the Messiah and redemption through the Messiah. His spiritual portrayals of the Messiah—reminiscent of New Testament accounts—were published on the websites Kaduri.net and Nfc:

“It is hard for many good people in the society to understand the person of the Messiah. The leadership and order of a Messiah of flesh and blood is hard to accept for many in the nation. As leader, the Messiah will not hold any office, but will be among the people and use the media to communicate. His reign will be pure and without personal or political desire. During his dominion, only righteousness and truth will reign.

“Will all believe in the Messiah right away? No, in the beginning some of us will believe in him and some not. It will be easier for non-religious people to follow the Messiah than for Orthodox people.

“The revelation of the Messiah will be fulfilled in two stages: First, he will actively confirm his position as Messiah without knowing himself that he is the Messiah. Then he will reveal himself to some Jews, not necessarily to wise Torah scholars. It can be even simple people. Only then he will reveal himself to the whole nation. The people will wonder and say: ‘What, that’s the Messiah?’ Many have known his name but have not believed that he is the Messiah.”

And the last paragraph of that link, probably the most succiinct and inline with this thread.

“When he comes, the Messiah will rescue Jerusalem from foreign religions that want to rule the city,” Kaduri once said. “They will not succeed for they will fight against one another.”
