wagyu burgers at Aldi

I made some fantastic burgers tonight

Chuck steak coarsly ground and passed through the butchers grinder twice
Bone marrow cut into small cubes
Small bit of sea salt and 5 pepper pepper

Shaped in as burger press and refrigerated for a couple of hours.

BBQ over flames

The chuck steak was £10 for a little over 1kg with the bone marrow thrown in by the butcher and it made 8 nice thick burgers

I'm hoping for 20% :)

It's grass-fed beef so that's generally a good thing. Whether or not it's Wagyu in the traditional sense it's probably a fair chunk better than your average cheapo pre-made burger.

What's so special about grass fed cattle? That's not exceptional in the UK.

Aldi? Its probably horse meat.

Ah, I see...you're posting based on a misconception here. You thought we were saying "Tesco" when we were actually saying "Aldi". But that's okay, you shouldn't feel bad. It's a mistake that could happen to anyone. Don't beat yourself up about it, just try to read posts properly in future and this won't happen again.

Marrow in burgers makes them incredibly juicy and tasty. The "Best british burger" winner last year was the Gog magog farm shop near Cambridge, and their burger is just Chuck, marrow and pepper. They are superb.

Man I don't know why Aldi gets so much flak. They are by far one of the best supermarkets. I believe they've even won a lot of awards.

Get some good stuff in there.

They're great, yes.

They're not as good as really decent ones you make yourself but in terms of pre-bought burger buns they're amongst the nicest I've tried.

Nice, I'll be grabbing some of those then, for 99p also a bargain!

I agree.

Got some of these last time they had them, great burgers. went in to get some more but all gone! :(

thread revival, but these have been back on again recently! Got some more the other day and combined with their brioche buns make for a cracking burger for relatively pennies:
