Titanfall (Respawn Entertainment's new IP)

I didn't realise there was a Halloween sale so big thanks for mentioning it.

Just bought the deluxe package and was playing within a couple of hours, really happy to actually crank every setting to max and play without a single stutter.

Any tips for a Titanfall noob?

That price is a little disingenuous isn't it, you do get the game but with everyone begging for more content I'd guess that the DLC is almost a must buy.

However, each DLC is $10 a pop or the season pass for all DLC is $26.... so in total it's more expensive than the Deluxe edition for $31 which includes all DLC t date and in future.

I'm stuck in the former scenario with BF4, it's still fun but I do regret not paying a few bucks more for the full pack. I'll be paying a lot more to add it now.

What has happened to the standard of player in this game recently? I am (was) pretty bad. Joined the game late and have only put in about 15 hours so far. My K\D v others player in that time was a poor 0.8. In the last 10 games vs human player it's jumped to 2.3. I'm now usually top of the score board, sometimes getting twice the Attrition points of the next best player! I'd like to think I've got good, but it's other players are so bad - I'm starting to think I'm up against (bad) bots.
 
I just gave this a whirl after not playing for a while. After several game updates and a few new nvidia drivers, this is back to being jerky using SLI and gsync!

When I first got my Rog Swift this game was one of the best, smoothest examples of Gsync and SLI playing well together. Now all the light sources flash (known SLI bug apparently for months!) and it's just not smooth. Rubbish.

No disconnects but my ping is staying at around 100 in every game. It used to be much lower. What's weird is my ping to the data centre is around 17ms but in-game 90-100.
 
I've been spending quite a lot of time playing this recently and I'm really enjoing it. I only have the base game so was contemplating the expansion packs/ season pass but it's really expensive on origin at £20 and more than I paid for the game itself!

Is it worth the money and/or is there anywhere else I can get it cheaper?

I don't play so can't answer if it's worth it or not, but the cheapest I've found is £11.14 here (can also be had on ebay for £13.99).

Thanks for the suggestion. That's more like the price I was hoping it would be. I'm a little bit wary of some of the 3rd party game code sites. Have you used that one before?
