'10 minutes' grace' for parking

If we're talking on street parking... Is it 10 minutes from ticket expiration or 10 minutes from a warden discovering the car?

In the past, I've parked up, ran into the office briefly to grab my bag and came back to discover a warden punching in a ticket within a matter of minutes so didn't think any grace period applied in that respect.

Two things, this hasn't come in to play yet, and it applies to expiration of tickets, not having not bought a ticket at all, although usually this is an area guidelines suggest a bit of a grace period, for if you've not got change for the meter. If you've parked without paying because you decided you'd be quick enough then any ticket is your fault, same as if you did the same on double yellows
