nVidia announce the Titan X at GDC 2015

Always a pinch of salt needed till release.

Also if it is over £1100 (rough figure), that could be me out. I couldn't justify going crazy and I would want a pair of them.

Why not buy another 290x for now and try Crossfire? Obviously you're going to need it if Nvidia get stupid with the pricing.

Might be a good time to spend your time constructively, plus you can let me know how you get on :D

The games I play have no crossfire profiles and workarounds are not good, so I don't feel it would be fair on AMD if I went CF :D

I have a feeling it will be the same price as the original Titan, so £899-£1000 depending on retailer greed and stock.

Could start at that price but as soon as they are flying out of stock the prices will go up with demand, like with the original Titan that started at £830 and went north when everyone was throwing their money at retailers :D

I am tempted, but to make me sell my Titan's I want to see performance figures and of course the extent of the DAMAGE. I think if it's a TZ beater we're looking at £1100 - 1200.
Gotta be a beast for me to bite in that price range!!

You could be right, but I see it as £1199.99 retail, then comedy gold conversion rate bump to £1299.99, short supply bump to £1399.99 then etailer beer money hike to £1499.99

Well if it is £1499.99 then I'm out of it for now as my X99 upgrade and 2nd swift has left a pretty dent in the bank account :(

What was the original titan priced at in $?

As seen with the TZ, even staunch nVidia supporters will only pay so much.
But the thing is...just because it didn't happen before, doesn't mean it will never happen :p

I mean looking at the amount of people ditching their 780/290 and switch for 970, base on the same principle you'd think there must had been tonnes of people ditched their 580 1.5GB and "upgrade" to 670 because it is lower power consumption, runs cooler and have more memory back then...but there weren't ;)

I guess it's always down to how much people are getting caught up with the hype surrounding the product :)
