While my GPUs temps are great, I think I could improve my CPU temperature, so I would like some feedback from people using an I7 6 cores 3900 series, also some 4930k and 4960X will be welcome.

Could you please post your:

CPU:
Clock:
Voltage:
Cooling used:
Room Temp:
Idle Temp:
Gaming Temp:
100% load temp:

Thanks in advance.

Something like this:

CPU: I7 3970X
Clock: 4.5Ghz
Voltage: 1.3V fixed voltage
Cooling used: xspc AX360 rad, push pull, xspc block and ddc 10W pump.
Room Temp: 22C
Idle Temp: around 32C
Gaming Temp: around 60C
100% load temp: 70C

Pretty sure I was getting roughly the same with mine on it's own 360 rad (monsta).
I'd check now, but it's all in bits at the mo.

right.
I'm only wondering, because with my air cooler I was getting around the same temperatures (2C higher gaming), I was using my old Corsair A70.

It'll be up and running again tomorrow - fingers crossed - so I'll get some better numbers for you :) I believe it was around 52-57 or so in games @4.4/1.35 odd. Something like that anyway.

It really comes down to how good the chip OC's, if you get a good one OCing with 1.225v then its gonna be much cooler than one at 1.3v.

Plus, unsure if you care but the 5820k and 5930k are both 6 cores also. Mines at 4.5ghz with barely breaking 44c in games, under max load just tipping into the 60s. Its at 1.2v(with 0.050 offset). Idles at 24c.

CPU: 3970x
Clock: 4.7ghz
Voltage: 1.376
Cooling used: H110
Room Temp: No idea
Idle Temp: 39c hottest core
Gaming Temp: 60s
100% load temp: 80s. Edit. Actual is 78c ATM

CPU: 3970x
Clock: 4.9ghz
Voltage: 1.450
Cooling used: H110
Room Temp: No idea
Idle Temp: 46c hottest core
Gaming Temp: 70s
100% load temp: 88c

Great thanks :)

what kind of cooling are you using?

CPU: 3970x

Idle Temp: 39c hottest core
Gaming Temp: 60s

Great, thanks :)
Your chip looks like to be around the same as mine, as I need 1.4V to 4.8Ghz.

This has since been sold, and was on a RIVE, that died and I moved it to a cheaper asrock board which the VRMs would overheat over 4.4 :(

CPU: 4930k
Clock: 4.7ghz
Voltage: 1.344
Cooling used: Heatkiller3, 360rad, D5 vario, 3x akasa vipers. bit overkill for a cpu only but it works :)

Room Temp: ~20c
Idle Temp: 35c ish
Gaming Temp: 55c ish
100% load temp: 60-65

cooling below

CPU: 3820
Clock: 4.3Ghz (43x100)
Voltage: 1.34v
Cooling used: H100 (original thermal pad)
Room Temp: 22c
Idle Temp: (Forgot to record this one)
Gaming Temp: 58-60c
100% load temp: 73c

CPU: 4930k
Clock: 4.25Ghz (34x125)
Voltage: 1.16v
Cooling used: H100 (IC Diamond 24)
Room Temp: 22c
Idle Temp: 24c
Gaming Temp: 47-53c
100% load temp: 60c

Same CPU as above but clocked higher

CPU: 4930
Clock: 4.5Ghz (36x125)
Voltage: 1.34v
Cooling used: H100 (IC Diamond 24)
Room Temp: 22c
Idle Temp: 24c
Gaming Temp: 59-61c
100% load temp: 77c

(limitation in my setup appears to be original H100, CPU appears to be able to go higher, just not got good enough cooling from the AIO)
