Bosh bosh, zhoom zhoom, wallop, dosh!
The high price needs to be justified by having at least a 2 year lifespan as a high-end card. Don't want to buy it and see it get whooped 6 months later. If it lasts as well as the original Titan I think £800-£1000 is quite alright.
Come to me my precious...
I think those who got the original Titan done well in this sense because you would still be far from suffering under performance 2 years after launch.
The main reason I think things could be different this time is because next year we should be getting a looooong ovedue die shrink with Pascal which could change performance quite significantly. But even so this Titan X looks like an epic card once again and will not turn into a bad card even if Pascal is as amazing as it looks, so a couple could easily last more than two years imo.
Well, 7 days to go until GDC and San Jose is 7 hours behind us, so hopefully not too late in the day for info, as I am on 6-2 next week![]()
Yeah right, that would be cheaper than 980 SLI!
Nearly as fast as a 295x2![]()
I think 799.99. It's still 28nm right? Which means it's a fairly mature process, I think the base cost of production is probably lower than the original titan.
