They won't work as your not supposed to have them yet, so trying to activate them now could be deactivating them.

I just activated on the 970 I bought today. Went through fine. It's actually a GOG.com code rather than Steam, but it worked fine and the game is now sitting in my GOG.com library.

Should have my nice new 970 tomorrow too, as my order has shipped

I can understand chancing it if a day or two goes by but some people take it too far.

It's a great free game though.

I redeemed my code successfully on the NVidia side, but when trying to activate on GOG the page hung. Now if I retry the NVidia redeem site says the code has been redeemed, but GOG seems to be completely unaware of it.

I've contacted GOG and will see what they say, but just wondered if anyone else had a similar issue?

It's known that games sometimes fail to appear in your library when redeeming a code or completing a purchase at GOG. Support will fix it but you can try the account refresh immediately to see that works.

Well, considering I only received a properly working PC on Monday, I don't see how that is taking it too far...

Taking it far would require an angry post stating a demand that I am entitled to the offer.

Really hoping this game lives up to the hype.

I missed out by a few months but on the plus side should mean there's a few codes knocking about second hand.

Contacted GOG but they are unable to help in my case as the browser hang happened before passing the game code to my GOG account.

They've advised I contact nVidia, I have since done so and await their response.

I received my KFA2 GeForce GTX 970 OC Silent "Infin8 Black Edition". Really great card. Massive performance gains, lower temperatures and it is VERY quiet compared to my 7950. Zero coil whine!

NVidia asked me to leave it ~ 24 hours and try the code again. After doing that the code redeemed successfully. Just wanted to share in case anyone else has the same problem.
