Californian Roadtrip HUUUR

One More Solo - do you have to fly on Sunday? We're flying on the Thursday at 12:15, arriving 15:30, non stop form Heathrow and then return 17:50, arriving 12:15 just over 2 weeks later and our flights were only £490 and that's a pretty good itinerary in my opinion. If you can be more flexible it's worth trying.

Just got the two weeks off work and don't think I could swing any more time than that unfortunately.

The only thing i'm going to add, (not even read the thread) is make sure you stop off at an In-n-Out.

Enjoy !
Useful tip - if you are heading to the airport on the southbound 405, instead of following the signs to LAX via Century Blvd take the Howard Hughes Parkway exit then turn left onto Sepulveda - at the very end is an In-n-Out and you are right by the entrance to the terminals - good for a last minute double-double animal-style before you fly :p

Do you have a rough copy of your schedule, if that's not too much to ask? Just plugged your route from your old thread into google maps and sent it over to my GF and (having lived in the US as well) she thinks it's a great route.

It's not done yet really - I've still got 6 months of research first :p, but the rough plan this time is to head over to Vegas to start the proper route, which will be up into Utah (Zion, Bryce Canyon etc), then over into Colorado, down to New Mexico and perhaps Texas, then back over.

It would have made more sense to fly into Las Vegas or Denver but the flight options for both of those are fairly terrible so LAX it is.

Sunday is an ok day for cheaper flights, its Friday and Saturday that tends to be very expensive. Mine is Sunday to Sunday at a good price, the Saturday was £850
