Netanyahu: Iran a threat to the world.

Xordium

They are not too enamoured by Saudi Arabia either. I always found it ironic that king Abdullah said that two countries In the world do not deserve to exist...Iran and Israel, yet where is the US condemnation of such a stance? If it was Iran or one of the Islamic Jihad organisations who said Israel doesn't deserve to exist that would be cause for punitive actions or sanctions....ironic as Iran generally supports the U.S. position of a two state solution an supports Kurdish independence, Iraqi self-governance and other US aligned positions in the region. This just goes to illustrate just how much influence lobbies such as AIPAC actually exert in US politics.

I think he is alluding to the fact that a significant percentage of cancers are attributable to our behaviours eg smoking, obesity, HPV, Hep B and C, poor diet, excess alcohol consumption, lack of exercise, poor national development increasing the chances of other diseases etc.

I think he is saying that many cancers are caused by lifestyle choices and linked to modern living etc...

and many more aren't.

its a flaw in our design, if anything they're fault of the engineer.

live long enough and it's almost inevitable you will develop cancer no matter how healthy you are.

Yeah I thought that was fairly obvious ?

And trace the history of cancer and see the explosion of cancers brought on by industrialisation. Maybe "God" hates cars? Who knows.

^Of course not all cancers are caused by what we do, but an awful lot are.

No, they are not because they they both represent the different interpretations of some old texts. However, Saudi is not a direct threat to them physically both currently and traditionally - Pakistan has always been a traditional foe. It would like trying to comparing our relations with Russia and Germany in 1950 - whilst one may have been an ideological foe the other always would have held the greater animosity for obvious reasons.

increased chance really it's a fundamental problem with how we develop as evolved creatures that's understandable, as a designed organism that's just shoddy workmanship.

like putting shoddy wheel bearings in a car then blaming the drivers driving style for the short life expectancy.

A significant amount are however.

so what was gods reasoning for creating cancer before man created things that increase the risk?

Also whats gods reasoning for making oxygen increase the risk of cancer when we need it to live?

along with everything else necessary for human life?

seems like a dick move.

I think the dislike is more Saudi against Iran than the other way around....also Pakistan relations are complicated by the close relations Iran has with India...also there is the whole Arab v Persian thing going on....it amazes me that people don't realise that Iran is simply not Arab and historically it has always been very antagonistic toward Arab culture.

Ask him, I'm not God. I was just saying why platypus said what he did, he's not wrong.

If I was to speculate, perhaps it's another of those necessary steps in our development, cancer and disease certainly encourages us to discover and decipher more about ourselves and life...perhaps it's necessary for adversity to make us advance to the next level....who knows, but cancer doesn't disprove God, or even really illustrate his malevolence.

Persians come from the same ethnic stock as Europeans. It's not that unusual especially in the mountain areas to see people who would be classed as classically Aryan.

It would also probably surprise people that a significant portion of Western Europeans have quite a bit of Middle Eastern heritage in them, particularly due to the twin European diasporas during the crusades. Not to mention the Jewish diasporas prior to that.

Increased chances brought about in many cases by the modern lifestyle.

Yes. Some people would say the Celts are of the lost Jewish tribe of Dan. Though there I go into another grey area. Lol sorry.

As a descendent of ancient Irish I doubt it very much... We were in Ireland for quite along time so the Lost tribe can jog on :)
