So today at work I had my phone on me as usual (In my right pocket) and when I went to get my phone from my pocket to send a text, I noticed the screen completely cracked. Now this seems totally random as I have dropped the thing many times before and never had a single issue, but now the phone is completely unusable due to the touch screen being unresponsive, and from what exactly?! It's not like I took at sledge hammer to the knee or anything.
The phone is insured, but I really need this phone repaired due to the fact that I have a few accounts (Main email, Google account, PayPal) that use a software authenticator to access.
Anyway, my main issue is obviously the fact the screen is no longer working (Relying on my Moto 360 to read texts at the moment...). The LCD doesn't look damaged, (Screen looks clear other than these cracks) just the glass covering it. Does anyone have any experience with such things? Is the glass attached to the LCD in a way that makes it a pain/more costly to repair? As in, will I have to replace the entire screen?
