UEFA Champions League/Europa League 10/11/12 March *** Spoilers ***

Reading a lot of analysis on the game today, plenty of them are being quite critical of PSG as well. I honestly thought that PSG were quite amazingly good last night discipline wise for 95% of the game. It all got a bit feisty for a while after the red but PSG were not the ones going down like they had been shot after the smallest of taps. If anything PSG were much better in that regard than most PL teams I have seen this season.

I think that is what made Chelseas behaviour stand out so much.

Having seen that challenge, Oscar's looks more dangerous than Ibrahamovic's. His studs go into Zlatan's legs rather than the other way round.

Was at the game tonight with work, have to say the PSG fans were mental all night. Far far louder than Chelsea fans. Superb game to see.

We were listening to the match of R5L and I commented to my misses that there seemed to be real lack of crowd noise. Perhaps the microphones didn't pick it up very well?

The only reason he was sent off was the fact that Oscar got to the ball slightly before Ibra and the reaction of Oscar and the Chelsea players. Oscar went in with studs up, Ibra pulled out, made minimal contact and then Oscar rolled around like his leg was broken.

would you say he deserved an....tsk tsk oscar for his performance:)

Have to say as a Chelsea fan PSG absolutely deserved it. We were awful. Ibra was never a red, in fact it would have been a light yellow IMO.
We lacked desire across the pitch, glimpses here and there from Costa & Hazard but apart from that no one tried to take the game by the scruff of its neck. I feel like we really missed Lampard, so many times we were probing on the edge of their box but no one would just take a shot!

PSG very much reminded me of us circa 2012, full of fight and spirit. You could see in their play they believed it was their night regardless, and they did it. Felt an awful lot like us in 2012 against Barca (Cahill injured, Terry red card etc.).

It's usually the case that the player who commits the worst foul is the one who stays down rolling around in agony. I wonder what the referee would have done if Zlatan had stayed down rolling in agony as well? I don't think the referee got a great view of it because he seemed to be turning and saw it out of the corner of his eye.

bitterness is sweet :)

lol

I admit I've only seen the incident once in real time but why are you saying that the reaction of the Chelsea players had anything to do with the ref's decision?
The ref seemed to have his hand in his top pocket before anyone moaned at him or Oscar's theatrics, is that not what happened?

Great to see the better team over the two ties went through, actually they were better in both games. Disgusting antics by the Chelsea players and we all know where they get that from! I love it how Mourinho never takes the blame but it's always someone else at fault. Hope Ibra gets his red card reversed and is allied to play in the Quarters.

If you watch the video you can see that the ref was coming over to deal with it and before he goes anywhere near his pocket all of the chelsea players are converging on him gesticulating while Oscar rolls around on the floor like hes been shot.

I'm not suggesting that the Chelsea players got him the red card, Oscar is almost entirely to blame for that but they will have played some small part in it and the whole incident was a disgraceful reflection of the whole chelsea team bar Courtois.

I don't suppose you've got a link to a video?

Pretty sure no one who is seriously injured ever actually rolls as it hurts a lot more, refs are dumb

There were about five players in his face before put his hand in the top pocket.

Best thing is every player bar Oscar and Courtois have surrounded the ref before he has even reached Ibra, I mean its probably the only time I saw Fabregas all night. Also the fact none of them even checked if he was okay and Terry stood on his head. I'm sure its due to the fact it probably wouldn't have happened had Ibra still be on the pitch but the penalty not given and Luiz smashing Costa with his elbow were pretty bad from the ref

Also bonus Terry fouling Cahill for the winner instead of marking his man

By about five players in his face before he put his hand in the top pocket do you mean Matic -

Looks like the ref made his mind up immediately and he was completely wrong too.
