The bearings in our ten year old cheapo (£150) Hotpoint washing machine are about to give up the ghost the grinding noise when it reaches the spin cycle is probably annoying the neighbours three doors away! So the time has come to replace it we will definitely be sticking with integrated, I know this limits our options but anything else will spoil the look of our Kitchen and there is no way our house will be getting a utility room to stick the uglies in.

Have been looking at the following two Bosch models

£550 - http://www.bosch-home.co.uk/our-pro...-machines-range/WIS24141GB.html?source=browse

£650 - http://www.bosch-home.co.uk/our-pro...chines/washing-machines-range/WIS28441GB.html

Both look to be excellent machines but the cheap one is more than I'd really like to spend and the extra hundred pounds gets a couple of features I really want particularly the delay timer as we use this all the time.

So does anyone have any experience of either of the above machines or a different recommendation £650 is the absolute top end of the budget ideally I would prefer to be in the sub £500 category!

Bosch are really good and efficient, i bought Bosch Exxcel WAQ28461GB 8KG 1400 Spin Washing Machine, it has been really good. Not sure if they sell that model any more and there was £70 cash back on it from Bosch, I think you are quite limited with a Integrated machine

Our 15+ year old Zanussi integrated washer died in January, so we spent a while looking at options.

Ended up going for a Beko WMI71641 from AO.com. So far so good. Was one of the cheapest models with a 2 year warranty. Big (when there is only 2 of you) 7kg load, delay timer and a standard wash is way quicker then the old machine.

Mechanically they are the same machine so the difference you pay will be down to cosmetics and features.

Which is daft. Because they dont have to make them look pretty.
SO why on earth do they cost more.. Oh I suppose they may be a little bigger to take the place of a std unit.
