nVidia announce the Titan X at GDC 2015

Most people seem to single Kaap out, when the original Titans came out every other post was telling him he's wasting his money...or some other ****. Makes for entertaining threads, especially considering Kaap doesn't bite.

Trolls love those who bite, trust me. I'm a troll/****

Wow people are strange creatures!
And full of the green eye !!! :D

Friendly bunch then.

Can't stand these forums where they all run around fighting over who can get their tongue furthest up the head boy's ring piece, it's just pathetic beyond words. Only made worse by the head boy getting a buzz off it and acting like he's something special.

Pffft, some days I really do wish the internet would get turned off.

This made me laugh.

EDIT: Just saw this. I thought your questions were spot on to be honest.

In honesty even though I utterly can't stand TTL he's got a point.

There are numerous cards out there that are far cheaper than the Lighting and capable of achieving the same clocks for far less money.

IE - the Lightnings are, were, and always have been designed for people like 8 Pack.

As such the premium for a desktop user are not usually worth it. Unless of course OCUK get some old stock or what not and they're priced competitively.

Note though. Of late the prices of the Lightning has dropped so that the premium is only £50 or so. However back then? they were far higher than that and buying one for gaming was silly because they're not gaming cards.

It kind of depends on what lightnings you were talking about. Some were monsters however in recent times they have been a poor investment.
