Birdseye Complaint Email

Your'e not making them correctly..With the right ingrediants added you can make moist tasty low calorie healthy junk food.

We have differing definitions of correct in this case :)

If I'm making burgers I'm making them to be as good as they possibly can - and low fat burgers don't achieve that for me. You're right in that it is possible to make acceptable burgers with lower fat percentages but for me personally that defies the point.

I don't agree...5% mince steak burgers rock! :D

But it seems that your motivation behind using mince with a lower fat content is because you associate dietary fat with body fat. If we're talking being healthy, skipping the buns would do much more in terms of being healthy than reducing the calories by opting for lower fat meat.

Agreed for the most point.

There's also the issue of low kcal != "healthy" which a lot of people seem to not have an understanding of.

I've lost a stone in 8 weeks...I went back to 5 % burgers...Drop the Nutritional lecture too...I know that fats are good for you...I juts don't like Grease like this in my burgers...

My Burgers in a Wholemeal Warburton thin is the nuts..:D

But it's not in your burgers, it got caught in the tray which you dispose of. If you take the remaining grease/fat away with kitchen roll then what's the problem?

I prefer the "eat tons of food and do tons of exercise" approach but I realise not everyone has the time to do hundreds of miles of cycling a week.

Regarding burger buns I recommend checking out the Aldi brioche burger buns if you've not already. They're pretty low kcal (158) and taste amazing.

I've been having those recently. I kinda went off bread, but they are really quite nice.

I don't think you do, since you had a moan about saturated fat, which is actually good for you in the forms of animal fats and things like coconut oil and proper butter.

Yep

Put Coconut Oil in my smoothies
I have Butter in my Jacket spuds
Cheese on my Burgers

But Fat like this in Burgers I don't like...

Zappa Loved them :D

Why? Plus it wasn't in your burger, it came out...

Isn't that what you actually wanted?

The texture...To much grease I don't like...I like a Burger to be moist but to soaking in grease...Like a Burger from a 1.50 Burger Van by the side of the road.

You should probably proofread your emails in future. You can't even get the spelling of their own product correct. You write an email coming across like a smart arse and then you incorrectly spell their product name? Fail. And, as has already been pointed out, your facts are flawed.

But, at the end of the day I don't really know what you were expecting from a burger that you got from the freezer. That, in itself, is a fail as well. Next time why don't you make your own instead of buying one and then moaning about it?

lol

This thread is great...The hostility on what is a troll email to Birdseye is gold!

I think it's just how dumb the original post comes across as being that is getting people's backs up to be honest. Perhaps it'd do better in GD - we're all a bit too boring and adult in here.

I came and posted in here and got A LECTURE ABOUT NUTRITION.:o

It was just a bit of harmless fun.:(

Anyway I have returned Home to a letter basically agreeing with me that the this batch did not meet the quality standards Birdseye expect.
