So here I am sitting in my freezing house, loathed to run the heating as ever, and it occurs to me, my car has heated seats, why doesn't my house? A quick Google yields quirky vibrating massage heated chairs but that's just insane (and a little too quagmire, if you know what i mean ;)) Seriously though, why does this not exist?

get some material made for making heated bike gear and make a cover

Use the wireless charging tech in phone, install it in the floor of a room of your choice (office), then the chair will always be charged.

It will be very expensive I bet !

Also, what's wrong with just turning the CH on?

I love my Homedics shiatsu and Thai compression gadget, that fits snuggly inside the bucket seat of my ~2006 Argos (very similar to the ones OCuk sell by a different brand). The shiatsu part can add heat.

Outside temp is 2°C at the moment. It depends on how long you want the heating on for. If you're downstairs, stick the CH on periodically to keep it in the normal 18-21 range. Upstairs, straight out of the shower, I'll give one of those £20 Argos electric heaters a quick 5-10 minute blast while getting dressed. Not very energy efficient but probably cheaper than heating up the house if only on for 5-10 minutes.

sitting here, i wish my mousemat was heated, seriously it's the one thing in this room thats terminally cold, if i need anything else heated up i just close the door and launch bf4 for 20 mins, the 290x does the rest

I thought the reason why such item was never invented is because you are more than likely to doze off in one of them, rather than increase productivity.
