nVidia announce the Titan X at GDC 2015

In all honesty the guy cracks me up, you need people like that to break up the seriousness at times :)

Yeah I like old Mal too. Definitely always posts with a light heart.

Must pay him a visit.

OI ! MAL ! I'm down your way again early June mate. Will holler nearer the time. You can show me your crap PC :p :D

well if you dont mind blowing all your dosh, then you wont mind spending 120 quid on a new case will you..........................simples ;):D

because you'll deffo need one for the 390X ..............because that's water cooled

Only the WCE 390X is water cooled from what we know so far, there will still be third party coolers, like Windforce, Sapphire Trix etc..

I just moved from a large case CM690III, X99 , 5820K to a Mini-ITX (Thermaltake Core V1 Gaming Black ITX) build due to not having the space in bedroom.

I have to buy a card that can fit my case not the other way around :D

So in my case a rear exhaust blower card would be ideal, as long as it's decent !

Regardless of whether it is, it's probably around the right ballpark for the score. Shouldn't it do better than the 290 on the physics score, though?

Ah. Me showing my clueless nature again.

I thought the physics score might be GPU-assisted on Nvidia cards with physx.

It is pure CPU grunt and PhysX doesn't play apart in this bench. If anything, unchecking PhysX in the NCP gave me a slight boost to scores.

Don't need to take these scores and graphs for the whole truth and nothing but anyway. Just see it as light speculation. Only a few days until we see official reviews on what this baby can do.

Spot on and nobody should take them as gospel. It could be clocked to the nuts or it could be a fiddled score. Nothing there should be seen as facts.

I was thinking of going with 2 titan-x's but if those AMD scores are real then it seems like a massive waste of money if the titan is gonna be stupid money.

Also need 8GB + and when i last tried crossfire it was a nightmare (3+ years ago).

So if the 390-390x out performs the titan-x and has 8GB + good crossfire support + considerably cheaper i might think of changing back to AMD

The AMD scores won't be real for a card that is 3 months away from launch.

Having said that you may want to wait to see what the 390X is really capable of when it does launch.
