Jeans - Branded vs cheap

I've never worn a pair of jeans out... what do you do to them?

Sadly quality has dropped a lot in general over the last few years - Levis back in the day would last decades these days your lucky to get 2 years out of a pair (depending on where they are made).

I've got a mixture of next and Armani. The two Armanis are still going strong after 3 years, aside from a hole in the pocket. The next ones of a similar age are such a state I cant leave the house in them for reasons of public decency.

I only buy Diesel jeans, don't like paying over £50 for a pair though, so when I see a deal on them, I'll buy two pairs.

Tend to last a few years before they start falling apart

Levi's are how much? Last time I bought a pair of 501s they were £45 in Debenhams!

These days I wear cheap stuff (<£15) from Asda and the like. I don't care about labels any more. As long as the cheap ones don't fall apart in no time, I'm happy.

The pair of 501's I just bought where £75.

Branded but cheap from tkmax or sportsdirect, truly cheap jeans are crap and unnecessary with seams all over the place and tiny rubish pockets.

Tend to buy Duck and cover jeans, as i know they fit an they seem to last. Though the cheap Lee Cooper jeans i got from sports direct are going strong after 2 years still

I haven't actually worn out a pair of jeans since I was a kid and did things like skateboard in them. Stain or mark them, yes, but wear out? No.

I have a few pairs I like, Fenchurch, Crosshatch are okay, my Hugo Boss ones are probably my favourites.

Always branded, diesel or Levi's. The cut of a pair of branded jeans is infinitely better. Jeans and bin liners, not worth skimping on.

I've been wearing Tom tailors as they go on sale often, out of the 3 pairs I have, 1 have worn off the crotch area.
I also bought a pair form H&M and they are very similar in terms of quality, not saying Tom Tailor is a big brand.

I have a mix. Some from marks and Spencer, next also have a few firetrap and eeeer another brand .

Much of business. If anything the cheapest ones are possible the best shape. I have never worn out jeans however I only wear them at weekends or occasionally some evenings.

I could do with sorting them and throwing some out. Have 8 pairs of something !

Haha good to know I'm not the only one wearing jeans out. I pretty much wear jeans every day, and having large thighs, I just assume rubs the material thin and wears them out. I've not found this makes any difference with cheap or expensive jeans. With that in mind, now I know a pair won't last me a year, I'm very reluctant about buying expensive pairs. So I've got a couple of pairs of crosshatch from tk max for £20 each to wear at work, and keep the branded ones for going out etc.

Usually end up in the US at least once a year so pickup a few pairs each time, usually $40 or so for a pair of Levi's although last time my wife got some hers were $27.

Other good thing about getting them there is the selection and sizing range, much better. Can't remember the exact type I usually get but it's never the 501.

There are massive differences in jeans, HUGE I am told by someone who has a fetish for them and collects them from all over the world. Some pairs circa 800 quid, law of diminishing returns at that level, but for me it's about the cut and the material and I have found that 100 quid jeans feel and fit better and hold shape much better than cheap jeans. Just me, sure there are good cheap jeans but for me you have to spend a bit to get a good fit/quality balance. M&S jeans for me are crap, I had loads of pairs and all of them were crap. I didn't wear jeans for years but I spent on several quality pairs (all circa 100 notes) mid last year and they were MUCH better.
