Slightly pointless thread but I need to vent.

I'm currently sat here waiting for the police to come and get a neighbor to move one of their cars so I can go out because they've decided to park their two cars 3 inches from my front and rear bumpers, after theyve ignored my repeated attempts to knock on their door to politely move their car.

Has anyone else experienced something so childish and immature

Ouch. We have an issue with our neighbours two Sons. The two sons (both under 25, fit and healthy) are seemingly physically incapable of parking anywhere other than directly outside their parents house. Even when there is a space 5 meters away, they will still park directly outside their parents house on the opposite side of the road to everyone else's parking.

As a result of their parking on the opposite side of the road to everyone else, it becomes difficult for other cars to get past.

Normally only one son visits at a time, but the one time they both visited, one parked where they usually did (restricting the road), the other parked across our driveway. Cue us banging on their door to get them to move it :(

There is absolutely no other parking issue - there are always spaces they can go in, but they park like muppets.

We've had these sorts of threads before; basically people with a (sometimes metaphorical, often literal) small penis get really obsessed about proving their manhood by defending a parking space they believe to be theirs.

They're ****ing losers, basically.

I did contemplate jacking one of the cars up on two trolley jacks and wheeling away briefly but thought I'd do it the right way and prove a bit more of a point in the process

Has this at a previous address, Next door had a caravan which took up all their driveway which can easily fit 3-4 cars on instead they parked all 4 of their cars right outside their house and infront of my drive blocking both of our cars in.

I had to go out once and asked them to move so I could get out, The reply I got was "you don't own the ****** road do you think you are special?" this happened multiple times safe to say I moved house as soon as I could after being late multiple times to work.

People are such knobs.

I hope the police give them a right telling off, such a stupid waste of their time (but you did the right thing calling them IMO).

Nobody is obstructing a driveway or anyones use of the pavement.

The road is wide enough for a car to get down with cars parked either side

Do you have a friend with a decent tow car?

Theres a transit and an Impreza STI in the house that would both be pretty good at towing.

Doing that would leave me with similar consequences as moving it with trolley jacks, with the added hassle of them potentially reporting it to my employer

Read the bit I quoted again.

They have parked their cars in such a way as to obstruct your using the road.

Facepalm moment.

No sure if the police came out or visited but the car has been moved and I'm free.

Either way a result and hopefully it goes to prove a point too

Yeah, some people are just idiots.

I used to live in a terraced street in Abington and there was one house, just ONE, who were SO anal about their parking spot directly outside the house. They even had one of the very few garages, so when he used to leave for work in the morning she'd get her car out of the garage and park in his spot, then put it back when he got home.

Terraced street in kingsthorpe here.

We have similar problems at my missus house in Abington too, the current flavour of the month is the moron who insists in parking his A3 on the double yellows on the corner outside her house
