nVidia announce the Titan X at GDC 2015

Quite disappointed they've not given 1440p benchmarks! I've also just tested a single Titan running Dying Light at 1440p with max details and it struggles, so I think I'll keep my 2 for the moment!

I have been looking forward to seeing the results, but at 1440 I'm struggling to see why I would upgrade my 780ti (single) to Titan X (single) with gsync. I'm no expert but I guess these really excel when in SLI. I know it's early on so someone please correct me.

* note - I have a PC with a 780ti and one with a 290X, so appreciate the 295 still has the bang for buck (FPS per pound) crown.

yeh i saw that greg, the overclocked score on tombraider pretty impressive
wonder why didnt see that advantage in others

need more benchmarks b4 say how awesome :E

You are not wrong at all and I am in agreement with you. I would save my money if I was you and wait until something truly new comes along.

That X ran hot too 84 degrees. Even hotter than the 290x winforce. Whilst some of the increased board specs obviously make a perf difference I think the 12GB of RAM was a waste of time. A decent 40% perf uplift overall over the 980 but a disgusting price hike of 80%. But it is an enthusiasts card, yet to see them OC'd but at those temps will be limited.

Thanks for the sanity check :-)

I specifically wanted a single card gsync solution as my H440 is hot enough, however looks like I will wait for a 980ti'a'like (did this with the 780/Titan and feel wholly justified!)
