Got IB rank 2 on first day, not too bad. It's frustrating playing through matchmaking as you end up against fireteams on comms and you're mincemeat.

Red Death is good at any sort of range, but up close you got to have a shotgun to switch to, I'm running Found Verdict, and then an MG18A for heavy. Want to make sure I get the chest, boots and Jolder's Hammer, so gotta remember to farm some glimmer!

It is ok but the Arc burn hurts bad once you hit the boss area. Everything will basically one hit you if they get within melee range (lightswitch is enabled).

You to get Omnigul down as quickly as possible as otherwise you end up with multiple wizards and boomer knights all wanting to cuddle you..

I might run some IB tonight, around 8:30pm -> 10pm. Did a nice grind last night will high on cold meds and went from rank 0 -> rank2.

Just to confirm you can wear all the legendaries right, I think hunters have shoes + gloves with light 36 so that should be awesome.

Yup you can wear all of the IB armour at once as it classifies as just legendary.

I just need to find the right weapon balance for me. Last Iron banner I used my Suros exclusively. This time around I am struggling to find a setup I like. My Vex felt weak (although I have noticed I was running it in "PVE mode" which wasn't helping) and as above I just couldn't get on with Red Death.

Might give a scout rifle a go. I think I will just take a few different weapons in and play around a bit.

Don't have either of them. I do have a fully upgraded MIDA though.

Once I find a nice loadout I will stick with it and just try and have fun. If I die, I die. I need to learn the "new" maps as well. The last time I ran PVP properly (IB2.0) there was only 5 maps in the rotation.

I find it very difficult to get headshots with Thorn - I'm blaming the aiming reticle (as it couldn't possibly be my ability! :D ). I really need to use it more to get used to the positioning etc.

I also didn't really get on with Red Death when I tried it out just after the buff, although I did only give it half a match or so before switching back to my trusty MIDA.

I find aiming with MIDA, and getting consistent headshots, to be so much easier than any other weapon. It also has great range so I don't ever bother with a sniper rifle.
 
Lol bought the game back and it arrived yesterday. I quit because i couldnt seem to get any light at all.. went and did the moon mission Sword of Crota on hard on my own, completed it and managed to get some light on my first go which ranked me to level 21.. Typical.
 
Never got on with Thorn in PvE personally either. Just had a go with Mida but hated it, doesn't hit hard enough for IB imo. The radar and speed perks are great, but Red Death just kills a lot quicker, and is more flexible as you can use it more effectively at closer range.
 
I'd say raid thread purely because its full of organising stuff - no need to have 2 threads with those kinds of posts...

TBH it probably needs a title change to include PvP

I've done the nightfalls, but need the weekly's but if your stuck for a fireteam I can run through the nightfalls again with you.

Find Red Death to go well, it normally takes 2-3 sprays to kill people. I started of horrible (only pvp'd once before in Destiny) and was getting like 0.3KD/s ended last night around 1.5KD/s soo its not too bad.

However Thorns is a pain, really want one, I've been playing bladedancer but I think I'll go back to gunslinger for abit.
