Anyone on PS4 fancy helping me do the level 30 strange coin doo-dad tonight at all? Anti-Chav is my PSN. I do have Scottish Davie, Redrooster and Mid_gen if 2 of you are available? Also, I'm level 28 so may be some use this time :p
 
So, I've done the PvP section of the Thorn bounty, which was easier than I expected. Now I'm stuck on the final part, trying to kill Xyor in the Phogoth strike. I just can't stay alive long enough to make it spawn. Sooner or later a crazy number of wizards show up and melt me. How did everyone else do this bit?
 
You have to get Phogoth's health down to about a 3rd for the 3rd ship to arrive with Xyor. I did it with one other random and it wasn't too bad. It's better to hang around by the rocks in the bottom left corner (as you look from the door). If you hang around by the entrance you'll get a ton of wizards and Knights spawning.
 
I did it by standing in the first room and killing everything with icebreaker, then when the shrieker spawns go into the room before until it despawns then repeat. This was before any patches though so not sure if it still works.

It takes abit but its a sure fire way. I'm at that part now myself but I'm on ps4.
 
Good run last night in the IB. A few points shy of rank 2 after a few matches. I have found a loadout that works for me though, identical (generally) to when I ran IB2.0 :D - Suros / Found Verdict / Deviant mavity.

Despite the AR nerf I didn't notice any difference with Suros TBH. Deviant mavity (think Thunderlord in stats) is beastly!

Finished the night on a high after taking out 4 enemies with a Nova bomb at B on Blind Watch. :)
 
You can get a decent set of weapons easily enough, people get hung up on the 'best', when it doesn't really matter 99% of the time what weapons you have. The vendor ones are perfectly decent if you just go that route, but with people able to help you through nightfalls and then two chances in VoG at level 26 it won't take long to get some good exotics.

Got 2/3 of the way to rank 3 IB now...managed to clear all the bounties so far. Shouldn't be too hard a slog to make 4....need some time for glimmer farming!

Interesting I found that Suros was not as good as last time, ended up running Hawkmoon/Red Death/Mida depending on map. Noticed a large increase in the number of Thorn/TLW users now, which I assume is down to the Suros nerf. Good to see that they have added in some additional maps for a bit more variety :D

I think it is just a case of liking what we are comfortable with. You can kill with pretty much anything so just run what you want.

I also got on well with Monte Carlo which considering its stats suprised me.

I quite like the additional Venus map (Asylum?) as it can get very hectic around 'B'. Only seen the moon map "Anomalie" once so haven't had a proper go on it.

EDIT: I have just over 21k glimmer already so can afford the boots & chest piece off the bat. Will need to grind more for the upgrades and Jolders hammer. I will probably pick up the WL bond as well if I have enough left over. I won't grind specifically for it though.

Agree, but then I've always used Suros as my PvP weapon, and it didn't go well with it equipped.

I would get the bond as soon as you can, bond, shader and banner all add an extra 10% experience if you have them on :D And it helps if you do another IB event, as you can rank up that bit quicker.
