Really been slacking on this game lately. One raid in two weeks, haven't even seen Xur for ages, didn't do all of the weeklies last week and I've yet to touch them at all this week. My Fatebringer, which I was hyped about when it finally dropped last week after a long long wait, is still sitting, unused, at 248

I've been really busy this week for Destiny, so not done anything apart from some IB this morning before work. Quite enjoyed it this time around with Red Death. Might not bother with NF unless someone's doing it or need help.
Slowly weaning myself off I suppose, Borderlands out soon
I take back about what I said about Red Death - it is awesome in Crucible now! 2 bursts and it's a kill. 
I've only had 6 games in the current IB but I've not really noticed one weapon dominating over another. Maybe Felwinter's Lie - I seem to get killed by that quite a bit. But other than that, it's still the old favourites (Thorn, Suros) with a few more Red Death's around. I only saw one person in those 6 games using a Vex though, so I'm guessing it's dropped in popularity a lot.
Also forgot how quick it is to rank up. I'm ~250 points off rank 2 after those 6 games, and I didn't quite complete all the bounties (4/5 headshot sprees, and 8/10 melee kills). And that's without a class item giving an extra 10%. Should be pretty easy getting to rank 5 over the weekend, and perhaps even rank 3 or 4 on another character.
Anyway, I'm having a lot of fun with the IB.

We should team up if you see me on. I was running a few games and dominated a couple of times with my team mates at half my score.
That said, when the other team has a clan or group, I get owned bad as they flank very well.

Aye, I dropped my missus to work for 5, so I had 2 hours to kill before I needed to go to work. I either owned the opposite team or get owned by clans that's clearly working together, covering each other very well.
Also, people really need to learn not to capture the 3rd point. Spawn flipping is annoying when you are trying to get 10 kill streaks!

Just having a couple of people trying to control the correct points should help!
So far I've got to about rank 2.2 and actually enjoying it, makes a difference to just doing the raid grind every week.
I've just hit IB rank 3, still can't settle on my preferred load out, Inventive kicks ass, but I can't find any non-exotic primaries I like so I've not been using it as much as I want to. Primaries I still prefer Mida or Thorn.
Defo up for some Fireteam IB action.. Ho about planing it for tonight then? I've tried posting in the RAID thread but didn't get anyone interested.

What people are saying about control points is totally true. It's frustrating when 2 or 3 start chasing the 3rd control point and causing the enemy to spawn behind us. One question though; is it always the same two points that are best to bag, e.g. B and C, on each map. I've seen posts on forums telling people to leave A alone but without specifying the map. Personally, I prefer going for:
Blind Watch: B and C
Firebase Delphi: A and B
Burning Shrine: A and B (mainly because the sun blinds people when looking down on to A)
Shores of Time: B and C
Twilight Gap: A and B
Rusted Lands: A and B
The Anomaly: God knows! Not played it enough.

A crazy Slayer kill medal from last night.. Never been in a game where anyone has killed the whole team in one hit!!

Ah yeah, I remember Anomaly B now being both teams at each end of the corridor, shooting each other over the top of the control point.
Hmmm I had slayer pop up last night on my last round. Does this mean I killed the whole team from my Nova bomb then? I thought I only got four.
EDIT: Just checked, slayer is for killing 5 enemies in one hit. The Reaper medal is for six.
I got the Slayer last night.
As an aside, what is the rep requirement for rank 3 and 4? Is it 2500 a piece or is 4 higher? I will find out tonight but it would be great if someone could tell me so I can run some calcs.
EDIT 2: Also does the kill 10 enemies without dying bounty roll over? I am currently on 6/10 so my plan was to go very careful on my first run to get four more kills without dying.

Great run this morning, got 10 kills no deaths no prob, terrible run at lunch time....not a single MG headshot, rarely even got to the heavy!...I guess the fireteams start getting involved as people wake up.
