When you put it in perspective, it's roughly 30% faster than the GTX980, has triple the VRAM, and costs ~93% more. By comparison the 8GB R290X is roughly 0% faster than the 4GB version, has double the RAM and costs 20% more.

I don't know if that equals a good deal or not quite frankly, I guess it depends which factors you're interested in, being the fastest card on the planet and having significantly more VRAM than any other card are things people will pay a premium for though.

I expect AMD will slash the price of the 295X2 in order to try and compete with that, like they did with the HD7990/GTX780. And/or release a 16GB version, that would throw a spanner in Nvidias works.

FYI, EVGA are now listing the superclocked speeds on their website.

1127Mhz base core clock (up from 1000)

They are also selling it directly for just under £855!

The standard one being £825...

Glad I waited a day... think I'll just do a step-up.

Isn't Evga US based ?

That would mean tax and higher shipping costs ?

Kaapstad got 4 SC's (for those that don't know) hense the smilies :D

Good on you boy, waiting for some extreme benches!

No... this is from their EU website. Not available on the step-up program just yet.

I'm sure Gibbo would price match if needed. Don't want to take my business elsewhere, they have treated me pretty well.

Limit of 1 per household from EVGA :(

While maybe not as 'wow' as the first Titan

To be fair, while it may only be ~30% quicker than the GTX980 with triple the ram compared to the original Titan being ~40% quicker than the GTX680 with triple the RAM. It's not actually like the GTX980 was low on VRAM and having trouble outperforming AMD's flagship anyway, the GTX680 was. Swings and roundabouts. The TX appears less impressive than the Titan because the current flagship is more impressive than the GTX680 was.

Silly question perhaps but here goes...

If the US RRP is $999 how does that = £900 GBP?

Current exchange rates show $999 = £670 (give or take a couple of pounds).
