My work phone is the Z10. It's terrible.
don't want to derail this thread by discussing z10 but I'm not sure why you say that. Our office use about 450 Z10's and I have a Z10 personal phone as well and I think there's probably 7 or 8 people in the office who've got issues with it. The rest love it.
Anyway that's beside the point as I said.
Please remind me what the real function on a phone is again?
I don't disagree with you, there is a lot of functionality in the phones these days, if you can even call them 'phones' anymore as they seem to offer much more than that.
I think what I was trying to say was, it's not like they're 're-inventing' the wheel each time. The clock function on the S4 I suspect is exactly the same as the clock function will be on the S6 edge, as well calling, messaging etc.
I don't know - I guess I'm just not seeing why with each new release it's like a standard expectation that the manufacturers have 'we price the phone at £500+'. I'm aware I'm picking on phone manufacturers right now, to be fair, it's broadly the same with every industry. There's an 'accepted' base price and new releases just sort of come out about there - but then you think, well surely there's economies of scale here, lower costs of production, re-use of previous intellectual property etc
