*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S6/Edge Thread ***

Guessing on a £45 p/m tarrif and £50 upfront off 3 compared to 24 × £16 for my current one plan sim + £600 for the phone off amazon.de is a rough £150 over 2 years cheaper off .de, any change upward for the actual 3 tarrif is soon taking that £150 over £200, I'd be a fool not to take the German offer.

I'm going to sit this one out for a month or two now. Hopefully by then the s6 Active will arrive and justify the costs involved or failing that the standard version will be a tad more reasonable.

Chances are neither will happen but thats my hope.

Me too, the phones are great but these are rip-off prices. I'll wait until they are at a more reasonable level.

Ordered a Black 64GB Edge on Vodafone upgrade.. :) 7GB 4g data should do me ok,

got a Iphone 6 plus 64GB atm so will just sell that and keep the cash. :)

How much?

works out about 40-42quid after discount, no upfront cost.. but get 24 months free spotify and I pay for that at the moment so can knock that off monthly price effectively.. then will get like atleast 400-450quid for my iphone 6plus :)

There any decent battery life tests yet?

Not found anything "decent" but some reviews saying it's about equivalent to the S5. Pretty disappointing for me. I would prefer a slightly thicker phone if it meant an improved battery life. Yes speed and responsiveness are great, but I'd prefer a phone which can last longer between charges, a day seems to be the target amount, but if you have to use it heavily some wont last even that.

Hmm Vodafone deal seems tempting (prices below are with 10% student discount)

S6 Edge 64GB Black

24 Months
£43.65/month
£49 upfront

Unlimited minutes, unlimited texts, 4GB 4G data and I 'think' when I walked pasted Vodafone store today they were offering wireless charger and case both for free

EDIT: Confirmed the above freebies

Vodafone, like O2, is trying to entice Galaxy S6 edge customers with some additional accessories for "free" offering those pre-ordering the curved phone ahead of the 10 April release a wireless charger and a case as part of the bundle.

Where is this deal?

was about to make adjustment...
was checking for deals on mobile on their mobile site..theis mobile site is s..t and did not load properly when I changed to 12 months...all those details are for 24months ;(
just checked on PC...

apologies for confusion..

Going to wait until launch but sorely tempted by the nexus6 now. I huge bargain compared to this unless some sensible contracts come out. Pre orders they can charge what they like.

Hi, does anyone know when amazon.de take the payment, i pre ordered the s6 edge but thinking of changing it too the Green one :(

Our local car phone warehouse had both the s6 and edge, the S6 does feel really nice love the glass front and back love the metal frame thin and feels very light all good but touchwiz yuuuk felt laggy between screens just did not feel right.

Now the Edge Mmm was not that impressed metal frame tapered and felt a bit uncomfortable to hold not as nice as the S6.
Screen on the gees went a bit off colour? And the guy showing me a video running on it the glare from the curved screen put me right off.

The best bit of the design for me is the colours behind the glass lovely and deep and made the phones just look and feel very classy.

Touchwiz is a big let down, too much money though I think I would go for the S6 as felt nicer in the hand.

I'm on the Lg G2 and still love it but would like to see what goes with the G4 and hopping they don't make it a 5.5" screen.

Quidco gives £110 cashback on plans over£43.50 on Vodafone.

Thanks for heads up

With the deal I posted student discount would save you £117 vs the Quidco £110, so that's a good option / backup option for those who can't get student discount

That just got me thinking though (this may have been your point of posting all along haha) ... The £110 will come from Quidco and Vodafone won't even know about it... And the student discount will not be visible to Quidco as it is claimed after taking out the full price contract

Hmmm, wondering if I can claim both! :D
