Can I polish / wax this out

Experts of OCUK - Can I wax part of this out / fill it / do something.

Some lovely person left this for me in a supermarket car park. Rather than pay for what could be a costly repair, leaving me out of pocket, is there anything I can do at home to minimise the look / damage this could do to my motor?
 
I'd give that a good going over with some T-Cut and assess the situation.

I imagine it would clean up rather well and then I would touch it up bit and it'd look much better.

The dirt makes it look much worse than it really is most of the time.
 
It certainly won't polish out alone.

It will (as has been said by pepsilol) need some kind of paint, be that touch up or blow over.
 
Gave it a good wash. It's really not too bad now it's been given a good clean. I've give it a good going over with t-cut and I'm going to throw a few coats of wax on it, should be fine!

I'm shocked how much better it looked just being washed.
 
Ah good news. I was going to recommend 'Meguiars Scratch X'. It worked wonders after some **** went into the wheel arch of my wife's car with a supermarket trolley.
 
No amount of polishing is going to make it look perfect, looks like its down to plastic in several places.

I'd just get a smart repair done.
 
I don't like tcut, but this is actually the kind of time its worth bringing it out for.

Hard to say how much will come out. Amusing most of that is white paint transfer, then it might not look too bad. Its definitely not going to disappear though.

I wouldn't bother trying to touch it up with a touch up pen. It normally makes it look worse unless you got skills, and its on plastic so it aint gunna rust.
