Lol ok.

If you assault someone at work you should expect to be shown the door. Clarkson forced the beeb's hand on this one.

I totally get that, Clarkson is 100% at fault. What makes me laugh is the whole 'went to hospital' thing. Really? For a split lip, christ did this Oisin Tymon bloke never get in a ruckus as a kid, did he never cut his knee playing football in the playground. He's Irish too, surely hes been in a fight. :p

But hospital.....really?!?

Obviously over reacted visiting a hospital

As he has not been sacked maybe they can show the rest of top gear for this season.

they could show the stuff thats been recorded, but as for filming more stuff (the studio part).. im not sure if he'd want to even if he could tbh, so they'd have to make a montage out of recorded stuff

Agreed - I'm also annoyed we'll never get to see the last episodes that were already filmed (other than the live bits).

Yep.

It is something I said from the start; that it is a shame that the show ends like this. I'd have rather seen a special, with a really nice ending.

I loved Top Gear, it was one of the only things I bothered to watch on TV because I enjoyed it so much... :(

This is bullcrap...

The specials were great :( thats what I loved about it the most, and 75% of the episodes were enjoyable, but I just loved the banter between the 3 of them on screen even if some of it was scripted. They went well

I love Top Gear and am a fan of Jeremy Clarkson but this is the right decision to make. There are no excuses and the Director General did a good job at putting one person ahead of many, which sometimes you have to do.

Isn't it the other way around? The pre-recorded stuff (reviews and trips) will be shown but there won't be any live stuff...?

It's one of the few remaining decent things to watch on the BBC though. I pretty much only ever watch the BBC for Top Gear, Sherlock, some of Wimbledon, bits of the Olympics, and major football tournaments like the Euros and World Cup. The rest of their stuff is made up of cooking shows, period dramas, property programs, the news, etc, all of which is clearly not aimed at a man in their 20s.

I think it's pretty outrageous that I have to pay a TV licence for what probably amounts to less than an hour of TV viewing per week.

Then just use catch up TV? No license needed then .....theoretically if you watch a live programme but pause it then watch a few mins later it's technically not live :p
