I've been a gamer for roughly 35 years now (i am 40) and in the
past i'd think little of paying £45 for a console game.
I remember back in the day paying £50 for Tekken 1 on PS1.

maybe it's a getting old thing and it's ironic because i've got more
money now than any other point in my life but i can't bring myself
to spend £50 on a new game, sooooooo i wait, and wait and wait until the price drops.

My Price is £25.

just picked up a copy of FarCry 4 on XboxOne for £24.85 @ shopto.

what price are you willing to pay these days for a new game?

I still remember buying Mortal Kombat II on the SNES from Woolworths for £62!

I'll pay £50 for the right game, but usually it's around the £40 mark.

£25 here as well. Exceptions are an Elder Scrolls or Fallout game. I'm rarely bothered about getting games on launch. Got Bloodborne for £25 digital.

Wow seems a good price for far cry! I will spend 50 odd for a game I know I'll play a lot (did for destiny, halo, borderlands), and a lot less for something without multiplayer (eg tenner for assasins creed 4) as I know those run down in price far quicker

(for what it's worth I tend to get the best deals and pay way less than 50! Just I'm willing to pay more irrelevant of price for a good game)

I mostly pay about £35 ish for new games with online deals, cashback/quidco/reward points.

I think that's very reasonable considering how little games prices have changed over the past few decades and how easy it is to sell on a game with little loss these days if you play through it quickly enough. Generally there are usually great deals to be had for new releases if you browse HUKD enough. Pretty sure I paid less than £30 each for Destiny and Fifa 15.

I try and go for £35, I dont tend to trade so therefore it seems a fair price, dont think Ive ever gone over £40 unless its some deal.

Im ashamed to say I do value MP-including games differently than pure single player/limited replay jaunts just because when you get them usually having other people to play with offsets the potential higher cost.

ps3ud0

I have been using the trading section on another forum to fufil 95% of my PS4 needs, generally paying anywhere from £15 - £30 for a game and then reselling it on the same forum for usually the same cost or a few quid less depending on the time I spent with it.

The only time I have broken this was obviously the ps4 release and now Bloodborne, would use the trading foruma here but still got a lot of posts to make.

I'm not the biggest gamer (used to be when I was younger) and as I do not play that often so have loads of non finished games I am more than happy to wait so generally will not pay more than £20 for a game, but I would say more than 50% of my collection was bought for £10 or less.

I'll pay 40 quid, any more it needs to be something special.

I do think all these dumb remakes should be 25-30 though

£15 for great single player games.

I will buy multiplayer game I know I will love (Street Fighter, Halo etc) on release for around £50.

It's all about the £ per enjoyable hour.
