Do you prefer Audessy on or off?

I've always had dynamic EQ set to on on my Onkyo 818. Turned it off a few days ago and music/films have a lot more detail and bass is not overpowering. Do others turn dynamic EQ off?

Dynamic eq adjust's the eq at low volumes, that's not the same as turning audyssey off completely.

Don't have deq on my 805. Do use audyssey multi eq XT though. Very much prefer it.

I have it all turned off on mine, think it's set to flat or something like that. Really couldn't get on with it, hated the way it boosted the rears so they were far to overbearing.

I hated audyssey on my denon avr 4310, but it's almost necessary to get a decent sound out of my denon x4000.

Agree with others regarding dynamic eq, I leave that off, tampers with bass and the rears too much for my liking.

Audyssey sub eq is very good though that's the best part of this x4000.

I listen at low volumes so enable audyssey dynamic eq to give a little boost to the bass which tend to be lost when you have the volume down . I also run dynamic volume on light. This works well for me running a 3.1 setup on a denon x2100.

I tried Avengers Assemble today with Audessy off and it sounded a lot more epic IMO:) Sounded a bit muted and dull before. So off is better for me.
