Thieves really are tedious!

damn, sorry to hear about this Skidder, but whats done is done, put it down to experience mate, no one was hurt and in a weeks time it will feel like months ago,

as for your premiums, it shouldn't affect them too much, if any, it all depends on who you are with/how long/amount of cover etc.

there is also a dedicated team from the police, who investigate this type of theft from London pubs, they might not follow your incident individually, but will defo try and match this to other reports in the area, these crooks seem to hang around the one area for a while, then move on not to far away.

Thanks all. It was the 10 bells. The police have actually been great and are requesting CCTV. I will pursue with insurance. It's the time which is most frustrating. I've hardly had time to spam GD with one liners today.

Out of interest, have you checked anything like your Facebook access logs to see if it's been accessed from an unusual location (in case the thief powered it up and opened a browser for example)?

I don't do facebook, my default tabs are google calendar and mail and I changed password on those and windows last night for what its worth.

because facial recognition techniques use the geometry of your face which obviously isn't completely hidden just because your wearing a balaclava and to eliminate all possibility surely you wear a mask underneath?

or maybe your suggesting the mask should be wore over the balaclava.

maybe your an expert bank robber and I made an amateur mistake

Or maybe..Yawn.

Tedious isn't a word I'd use to describe thieves. Hope you manage to get something back with the police on the case now.

This in no way excuses the thieving scum who stole the OP's belongings and I hope Karma gives then a painful incurable and long lasting disease for their actions.

That reminds me of the South Park Terence and Philip episode "Not Without My Anus":

Phillip: What are you doing, Scott?
Scott: I'm wishing cancer upon you.
Phillip: Cancer?!!
Scott: That's right. I'm trying to give you cancer with my mind.
Terrance: Ooh, stop that!
Phillip: Hey, don't give me cancer!

Serious mode though, hope you get some of your items back OP, and that the police gets some lead.

Why did you have 4 of them? Watch dealer?

Obviously not main issue sorry to hear about your loss :(.

Front door, office door (which leads on to the driveway), door to garage, back door. I haven't long lived here and I'm quite pleased in a way to have changed the locks as there have been a lot of keys circulating with builders etc. and the last person who lived here had the house repossessed so you never know, could be a good thing.

My brother had his tablet stolen when he was delivering pizzas.
He found out who had stolen it.

And well, he's just waiting for him to finish his driving test and buy a car, then he's going to put its windows through.

Ooo I only know ingersols as a watch brand I didn't know there was a locks brand under the same name. Oops sorry. Suddenly it makes sense :D.

Re insurance - Sounds like a reasonable amount for a claim and if your excess for your personal possessions is low (most are sub £100, sometimes £0) then it is worth claiming - That's what it's there for after all.

I had a claim for roughly £8000 a couple of years ago and the premium only went up by £80 so I wouldn't worry.

Had my wallet snuck out my back pocket around town, just so happened to have my girlfriends shopping money in it so on an up side we got to go home :D

Know what you mean, it's just a pain getting everything sorted out.
