Little project I'm administering on behalf of the builder. £200k annex.

The lead roofers did such a nice job :)

Looks nice, what are the benefits of lead roofing? other then looking awesome.

This will last 100 years plus on tricky junctions lead is really maleable.

Whats the house worth if the annex is 200k?

£1.5m

Looks really good. Whats the thinking behind going for lead over say, Zinc

Nothing really.

The ridges are stair handrails fixed to the plywood sub base then the lead is formed round it twice one on each side of the roll to form a watertight seal.

Very tidy job. Currently have a butyl rubber flat roof on the extension at the back of my house. But id prefer lead tbh as it is so much more durable.

Very nice job that - I am surprised there are people about today with the skill to do it - Were they from the older generation ??

Also hope the home owner has a good alarm and CCTV system - would be a shame if that got ripped up one night.

Wasn't really like the cast of dad's army turned up. General guys. They do a lot of work around the south coast which has a great deal of metal roofs. These guys maintain Brighton Pavilion.

Gated house with plenty of security.

That is nice. I didn't know lead was still in use beyond listed buildings. House owner obviously prepared to pay for craftsmanship too which is even nicer to see.
