Thieves really are tedious!

Tedious is a strange word to describe the situation. Do you have you stuff stolen often and now are board of the situation?

I've had two snowboards (perhaps this is what you were referencing cleverly with your choice of words) nicked lately. I was very bored of it yesterday.

Which pub were you in Skidder?
10 bells

If a man sings in your face, you are legally obliged to stab them.

Just one more thing.. I'm confused.

If your friend was meant to be watching the suitcase, why did the suspected thieves need to distract you?

It happened within the space of a few mins. I went to get cash and left him to watch bag. Came back and the Irish gent was talking and singing at my mate and proceeded to do the same to me. When he had gone. The bag was gone. Don't know whether it was when my pal was watching it or when I was back. It was in total a few mins.

Think positively, you had a brad Pitt lookalike sing to you, most people would sacrifice a cruddy briefcase for such experience.

Unlucky, hopefully the police catch the scum.
Might be worth activating any sort of tracker that electronic devices have next time!

UPDATE

Have just had a call from someone who says his friend is a homeless man who found my bag complete with computer and other contents. Wants to give it back in return for 'a drink'.

I've had a chat with the non-emergency police and they said someone may be able to accompany me if I go at a quiet time. Nevertheless, it is nowhere near where I live and I don't really fancy it. It's obviously extortion but from what he told me they do definitely have my bag (they described contents) and had clearly tracked me down via my business cards in there.

Only solution I can think of is to say hand it in somewhere that I confirm they have it (obviously ideally police but I'm sure they are not up for that, so may be the pub it was nicked from or something). Once I have confirmed I will send them £50 via transfer? Seems like a less dangerous option than turning up.

Any suggestions??

tell them to hand it in to the police station, you left a £50 reward there for whoever finds it
