watch sky recordings on pc? or via pc monitor?

Hi

Wondering if there is some way of being able to record stuff on my Sky HD box and then watch it on my 2nd monitor of my pc.

I don't want to make another copy of it just play it back to my pc with as little hassle as possible.

Depends what inputs your pc monitor has , if spare hdmi, you could try a
DMI Splitter 1 to 2 Extension Adapter for PC HD TV DVD
but i don't know if output from a sky box is hdcp protected, so your monitor would have to support that as well.

So what is the specs of your monitor?

recorded content is encrypted as far as i know so can only be played back from the sky box, so only way would be to hook the sky box up to your monitor or to an input card in your PC perhaps.

so this would be a case of play it on sky box and it just plays on 2 displays?

as the box is in another room is there some way of controlling also? maybe with my phone? (note 4)

Sky+ app on your phone has most of what you need. Playback of content and pause/rewind/FF as well as channel change so yes, that will work.
