High demand for Titan X exceed supply

Nevermind all this bickering, when are they due back in stock ya fools :)? Probably one for the management but in case it's already been mentioned somewhere, do tell.

Well as you are far too lazy to click on any of them in the shop, it states the 2nd for some and the 3rd for others (April) :p

Original Titan = I was won around by a friend of mine who uses it for BOINC and so on. I didn't realise they had more purpose than just gaming, and when I looked at Tesla cards and their prices I soon realised that for workstation builders, like the Intel X series CPUs and E CPUs it was a bargain.

I bought Titan Blacks for DP. I do a lot of artwork for a company who then encodes it all using DP so for me it was a feature.

Then Nvidia show off the Titan X with the LEDs and so on. I figured "Oh cool, even more extras".

Then the release happens, people buy them and I find out that they've basically removed every other reason for buying one from the equation.

And I'm annoyed about that. Quite simply? Titan X is everything that I initially saw Titan as !

It's a ridiculously over the top gaming card. It has no other redeeming features, sorry.

If that upsets you? then I must have hit a raw nerve. I can't help that I'm afraid. Didn't go around insulting people just gave my honest opinion. All of the things that ended up winning me around about Titan are gone.

So that's about that really.

Any way, back on with my mini build.

@alx; see, that is how you write a post. Polite and plain, no one is upset when you stick to posting like that. When you start telling people they are "stupid fir buying a titan" or "not fit to call yourself an enthusiast" then people get insulted.

Yes the titan x is a halo gaming card, don't like the price don't buy one but no need to dish out insults to people that do either.

I didn't say any such thing. I said that calling people who buy the TX enthusiasts was insulting to enthusiasts.

I've not dished out any insults I've simply ripped into Nvidia. I'm still waiting for proof that I said less than 150 had sold.

At the end of the day why on earth would I insult those who bought them? it's their money and their life.

They just took offence because I ****ged off the card and I can't help that.

You got your proof, you replied to the guy who said under 150 have sold in the UK with "It honestly won't be that many"

What more proof do you need?

Also labeling someone who buys a TX an enthusiast isn't insulting anyone? If we're all enthusiasts as you say then you can label whoever you want an enthusiast here including TX owners... You interpreted as him saying only TX owners were enthusiasts.

You started a big fuss over nothing because someone or something got your knickers in a twist as usual.

I wouldn't take up being a mediator for a living if I was you, as that is probably the worsterest diffusion I have ever seen.

Why is someone buying a TX and considering himself an "Enthusiast", insulting to enthusiasts?

Putting forward that only enthusiasts buy Titan X is insulting to enthusiasts.

It's smug, and it's basically saying that you need to spend £1000 on a GPU in order to be an enthusiast.

I'd love a Ferrari. I can't afford one. My car used to be a Hyundai Coupe. However, it was personally turbo charged, full race interior, lowered, and painted with custom holographic pearls.

That bit there? that made me a car enthusiast. My hands still carry the scars. Just because I can't afford a Ferrari does it somehow not make me an enthusiast.

THAT is insulting, Greg. Basically saying that unless you can afford to enter Club Titan X you're lesser of or indeed, not an enthusiast.

Whether you realise it or not? you're the kid at the school walking around with an Ipad when many of the kid's parents can't even buy them a PAYG phone.

No one likes a braggart, is what I'm saying.

That isn't what he said, as I said above you interpreted it that way.

Maybe take a trip to the motors section and have a go at those uploading photos of cars better than others as well? No point limiting yourself to the graphics section.

Someone who saves for a year to buy a TX is more enthusiastic than someone who refuses to go over an arbitrary pricepoint (which in this day and age is increasingly self-defeating, the age of £150 GPUs is over).

And what if some one cannot afford to save for a year? what if they live on the breadline?

But he never once insinuated or even hinted at only enthusiasts buy Titan Xs. You read the post and went off on one at everyone and anyone. Maybe a bad day or something else but there was no need for it at all.

And as for considering me like the kids in school, so what? Putting that into perspective, I have worked all my life and looking at it from your angle, I should hide away the nice things in case people like you take offence....GTFO.

mannnnn dont you guy's have wife kid's??

those 2 thing alone are toooooo much of a drain on my finances for me to even look in the titan x direction

although i wish i had one with a nice 1440 screen... :-(

And what if some one cannot afford to save for a year? what if they live on the breadline?

Buy a playstation? If you are on the breadline you shouldn't be thinking about upgrading your gc, I would be looking to upgrade job, earnings, qualifications you know, things that get you out of the 'breadline'

You can be an enthusiast without being able to afford a TITAN, that certainly doesn't make people who do buy TITAN X or more than one not enthusiasts. Makes less sense to call them anything else but...

Stupid argument is stupid.
