First time at Overclocking a Haswell based CPU, so how does this look to you guys?

First, stock voltage for my Chip is 1.024.

I'm currently at 4.4Ghz @ 1.173 Volts - load voltage while using Realbench 30 minute test.

Max temperature via HWMonitor is 63* on two of the Cores and 59* on the other two.

Does this look ok?

And, there is quite a big jump in voltage between 4.3 Ghz and 4.4. 4.3 will run 30 mins of Realbench at 1.109v. Is it normal(ish) for that?

Thanks guys

Looking good, keep on going.

The voltage will not always be linear to the clock speed you can get for it. You find an impressive hike is needed at the top end, for example i can do 4.7ghz @ 1.23v stable but 4.8ghz needs 1.3v to be stable.

That would be it for me but some say 1.35v and some even push 1.4v (but I suspect these people aren't short of cash for if things go wrong).

I have sympathy for my kit and don't like the idea of it being caned too much.

Update.

@4.5 Ghz 1.19v. I'll push for 4.6Ghz another night but will probably run at 4.4Ghz on a daily basis.

That's good. Don't be afraid for these chips to get hot.

Mine runs at 90c at stock with the stock cooling when encoding.

Intel obviously don't have a problem with these temps.

Can't you get 4.6 at less than 1.3 and 85c in AIDA?

I booted at 4.6ghz with 1.2v. She made it to desktop and I was able to use it for an hour without crashes. I just did not have time to test it fully.

It looks like the biggest jump in volts for this chip was between 4.3 to 4.4, everything after that appears liner. Temps are not too bad either, 64* is the highest on Air. I plan to water cool the whole system when money permits (I want to clock my Classififed higher). But if I can get to 4.6ghz at around 1.25v I'll be a happy boy.

I don't get it how do adjust vcore and see what you are setting it too theres just some +0.500mv stuff ? I don't want to get a calculator out I just want to up the vcore to 1.3

Depending on what motherboard you have got, you just type it into the bit where it says '1.3' or whatever your current voltage is.

Mine does 4.6 at 1.25 everyday since the day i got it. I could probably lower the volts a bit to see where it becomes unstable but it want to go higher :D

I use the MSI z97 gaming 5 and run a daily overclock of 4.7GHz @ 1.27v. My max temp on a single core was 61c during OCCT CPU Linpack test but I am running a custom loop with a 360mm and a 240mm rad.

You do have headroom still and you could safely put the voltage up. just take baby steps and monitor individual core temperatures.
