US: The Walking Dead Season 5 (contains spoilers)

Castiel, I don't recall anything in the finale that would make me think
rick is going to lose his hand....
I can only assume you're spouting spoilers from the comics which if so is completely not cool. :(

The producers have already stated that is not going to happen to Rick, why do people keep bringing it up...

Spoilers from the comics should be highlighted as being so, rather than just being put in a spoiler tag as people will assume it's safe to click and open them if they're up to date in terms of broadcast episodes. I guess some people are just desperate to show they're into the comics, too...

He didn't even spoiler it full stop! Let alone spoiler it and reference the comic/book....

As mentioned previously, I really do enjoy the show. As with most programmes, it has peaks and troughs but I'm glad I've stuck with it.

We'll inevitably have a confrontation between The Wolves and Rick's lot but I'm wondering what direction the show will take next? Either they defend Alexandria successfully or are forced to flee, sending them back in to the wild with the inexperienced townsfolk... which is fine but seems a bit too familiar.

I'm hoping something fresh will be introduced next season which I'm not expecting - possibly different types of walkers or a properly kitted out military unit. Perhaps something to work towards that actually pays off.

The two Wolf characters seem like they're able to use the walkers to their advantage so maybe we'll see some undead shepherding? I'm surprised that we've not seen the group use the 'cover yourself in bodyparts to fool the walkers' for a while, perhaps it's because they are now more confident in engaging them?

I'd like to see more of the walker 'herds' too - I wonder if they are all heading to the same place? Also, shouldn't the walkers be falling to bits by now? Surely a powerful storm should do plenty of damage to them?

End of ramble :p

What's the priests beef with the group anyway? Was it when they hacked the cannibals to bits in the church? I missed who he named, could he have been part of them? Or was he just trying to **** so many people off that they'll put him out of his own/our misery?

He saw the juxtaposition of Rick's group and the people of Alexandria. He associates what he did to his congregation with the group and the way they have been living, whilst wanting to wash his sins away and become part of Alexandria which he saw as Heaven in comparison to life outside the walls. Or something.

I don't see the threat of the Wolves, cool they set up some boogey traps so? Morgan dealt with them using a STICK for crying out loud :p

Couldn't agree more, not cool whatsoever.

I get what you mean. I have a feeling that there are more than just those two though - I've also get the feeling that they'll use the walkers somehow, perhaps besiege Alexandria?

load of tosh

If you think this season was a 'load of tosh' I'd love to know why you have stuck with the show for 5 seasons seeing as this season is easily the best season since season 1. Haters guna hate I guess....

The comics are rubbish though and I'm 9 volumes through now and it's taken until now to get to one that isn't written like a MrMen book. There's no way I'd pay money for them. Even though what was mentioned was in the comics I wouldn't say it's a spoiler because that time has long past. The story didn't even go down the same way with who the governor held captive.

Comic spoiler

He held Rick Michione and Glenn in the comics. Raped Michione on a daily basis and cut off ricks hand. I doubt that will now be happening in the tv series. Shame because her revenge was the best thing about the comics so far.

The comics thankfully are a lot different to the TV show because it wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes with the characters as they are in the comics. Anyone into the series should read the first couple of volumes online to be thankful they didn't follow the comics much at all. I love the tv series despite the obvious less interesting episodes and filler. Everything had them that I liked. Battlestar, SG1 and so on. I can live with it.

That is what twd series does just give it a few episodes of peace and quiet and a walking dead herd break down everything and eat everyone :D

So this episode of walking dead was the season finale anyone know if season 6 is due this fall or next year?

They need to ramp up fear the walking dead and place it in-between seasons, but they need to make it 15 eps also which it currently is not.

October. It usually starts a week or two before Halloween.

That's exactly what they are doing with Fear The Walking Dead. It's the summer show between seasons and starts in July :) I'm probably more excited to see it than i am season 6 of TWD, the main show usually has a third to half a season of let down episodes nowadays.

Could be an interesting concept, if they are clever with it they could run the series side by side and eventually connect.

It seems a well hidden secret, can't seem to find much information on it.

I read somewhere the other night, that the idea of having the new FTWD crew meet up with ricks crew in the story has been considered by the writers however they have pretty much completely rejected the idea as it wouldn't work.

At only 6 episodes a season (at least for the first) it could end up eclipsing the main show if the actors are up to par. The main show, while good, feels more and more drawn out each year with too much filler so the condensed format definitely has potential.

they could have them in the same area at the same time though just their paths don't cross
