Which web browsers on Android cache previous pages?

Hi all

I browse a lot on my phone, and on the iPhone, previous pages you've viewed are cached so that when you swipe back, they don't have to reload. I like this a lot as it saves a huge amount of time, especially as my signal where I work is very poor so pages can take a long time to load.

Does anyone know if Chrome on Android now also caches pages in this way?

Many thanks

M.

I'd be surprised if any browsers didn't cache pages, to be honest.

But yes, Chrome does.

Well whenever I've used Chrone on Android pressing the back key always reloaded the web page rather than just going back to it. I last tried it in September last year. Is it since then it's been fixed/added?

I found it depends on how heavy the previous page was. Dolphin was fine with it, and playing with Atlas at the moment with webview 40 it's very good with caching as well. Firefox was a tad hit and miss. What device was you using before?

It was a Moto G.
