Seen the results of the Chorley GP. Did you get up there at all Von? Looks like a good day on the photos.

I didn't, though I know some guys who went to see it. I'll have to have a look at the pictures.

I'll have to look out for it on the calendar next year if they do it again - it'd be interesting to see the pros make mincemeat of the Rivington climb!!

Guys, can any of you recommend a bike that fits my 'requirements'?

- Full carbon
- Matt black paint
- Internal cable routing
- FULL ultegra di2 (no fsa cranks)
- ~£2500
- option to finance

I don't like PX due to their in your face decals. I'm open to chinese frames/wheels and like the RCA frame but that would obviously take away the finance option.

Lovely day in the saddle! Although was bloody cold to start with, just couldn't get going until about 30 miles in. Went out with the club, so lots of the young guys, so quite a sharp pace at the beginning, luckily this died down on the way back in, and was pushing them up most of the climbs! 3 days of the bank holiday done, just need to finish it off with a ride tomorrow!

took the summer bike out today and it decided to repay me by having a paddy and deciding I only needed a 14-21 out back. I'm not even hard enough for the 25 that's on there at the mo, and a few minutes of roadside fiddling couldn't get it to behave so I aborted. I did do a hill I've always hated in 39:21 though which felt pretty good

Squeezed out another 100km today. Was with a slightly slower mate so was a bit of waiting around after anything uphill. My form is ok but totally miscalculated nutrition and one small SIS bar was not enough. Last 15km was bonk city and I felt well rough when I got back. Still its all miles in the tank.

I'm off out for a flat metric tomorrow, starting early in the morning and heading up to the mother in law's via Southport. Only 1300 feet over the whole distance, so easy on that front. It's set to be a bit foggy first thing in the morning, so I've got my lights on my bike, and hopefully it'll clear up quickly. It's looking like it'll be a bit chilly, so I'm still going to need leg and arm warmers, but at least it'll be dry. I'll stick a gilet in my pocket, but I shouldn't need it. Last year I managed a metric at 16mph, so I'll be hoping to get up to that speed at some point, though whether I can manage that tomorrow remains to be seen. Nutrition is sometimes an issue for me, so I'll have to think about that... I'm thinking a bottle of energy drink, a bottle of electrolyte, a banana or two... I've got a High5 bar knocking around somewhere but it's a fun size one, so probably not enough energy in there to get me round the block. I'll have to have a dig in the cupboards and see what I can find.

Just been out for a look at the cause of today's mechanical. Seems the rear derailleur barrel adjuster has snapped off where it threads into the body.

That'll throw the old gears out a bit then...

58 today, started off freezing and was very overdressed when it was hitting 19, yes 19 degree's in the sun sheltered in the trees on the biggest climb fo the day.... Amazing weather!

How is everyone doing on the Strava 9k climb challenge? 2436m done here for 27%.

I cleaned my bike his afternoon. The downtube and forks are white. The neat thing about white bits on a bike is you can easily see when they're dirty... Which is ALWAYS. Curses.

Doh, my gear shift has started squeaking today, my bodge job will have to finally be replaced, done well for 18months tbh! Got the cables and tape but just not got round to doing it.
