*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S6/Edge Thread ***

Phones slow down due to user error. People install junk apps and that's what causes slow down.
I have friends who own various Galaxy's from S2 to S4 and one Note 3 and they all lag or glitch in some way or another and none of them have "junk" apps, just the usual social apps and games. M7/8's and Nexus'4-5 I've come across have been fairly smooth. More like that awful TouchWiz causes slow down.

here too, i have gone through galaxy s2.s3.s4. note 3 all lagged after few months, and this aint with any junk on it, just official stuff, then got a htc m8 and with same apps actually probably more and after 1 year still running as smooth as the first day

i hope the s6 is better then past samsung phones, the htc m9 this time aint done enough for me, i know it will most likely run very well, i even thought the battery would be better then s6 and doesnt look like it,

i ordered the galaxy s6 edge as im a sucker for high hardware, and samsung dont hold back on that so they got my attention :D

I've used a similar product and would not recommend it; my phone scratched up the same as if I didn't have the product on it. Perhaps because it is impossible to tell if you've put it on correctly.

Good to know, don't think it can beat a traditional screen protector

That is a concern, especially as the coating wears away after some time, you'll never know when to re-apply it

I was reading an interview from one of the Samsung developers on one of the main Android news sites and he was saying how they redesigned TW and removed bloatware on S6 to eliminate the lag and glitches it had, clearly admitting the previous S's did lag/glitch.
I like powerful hardware like every geek but if the software isn't properly coded for it, then its pointless.

My S3 and my other halfs Note 3 is running like it was on day 1. I wonder why that is.

no idea maybe you dont notice or using custom launchers, i myself have gone through s2, s3, s4, note 3 all after 3-4 months started to lag, things as opening contacts, messages etc 3-4 secs to load as well as overall experience stuttering

and im a freak on what i installand whats running in the back ground, only have 2 emails syncing 15 days worth of email , just use watsapp as main messaging with no others installed, and only using official apps

i moved to a HTC M8 same apps same setup running, been a year and still running as smooth from day one go figure !

my friends even had galaxies and have noticed the same issues, a few moved to htc m7 and htc m9 and said runs miles better

the M9 doesnt really impress me but i know it will run sweet, im gonna give the s6 edge a go and see,

Same with my S4.

And mine, though I always set my transitions to .5 from 1 which might be what some call lag.

Is niiiiiik a time traveler from 2011 who still thinks he's involved in some anti android/samsung fanboi war like a japanese soldier stumbling around in the jungle in 1978.

O2 called me and said they'd clear the remaining £80 outstanding on my current handset (S4) if I chose to upgrade to the S6 or S6 Edge. Contract wasn't due for renewal till August. Needless to say I agreed and pre-ordered the S6 Edge.

I get friends and family discount which keeps the cost reasonable and I like O2 because I get 4G where I work :)
