*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S6/Edge Thread ***

Normally I think you can flash with Odin without tripping Knox as long as it's 100% official firmware. I'd wait for confirmation on the S6 though, but it is the case for other Samsung phones.

Yeah bit of a dilemma, as I like o2 refresh because I tend to only keep a phone for a year before getting the itch to upgrade so this works out better for me money wise. I get 30% off at O2, due to NHS discount (havn't seen if they do a discount for EE).

The below deal with EE seems good, especially as it's the 64GB and EE double speed etc, and obviously 10GB compared to 3GB data. But then I get a fitbit with o2 pre-order which again lowers the cost, and more through quido... argh!

Fair enough, with that NHS discount its much more economical.

The 2GB plans are not on CPW now either so looks like they are withdrawn everywhere, weird.

It certainly looks like Amazon.de and Amazon.uk have been unable to secure much stock for pre-ordering and it looks like the S6 Blue and S6 Edge Green are thin on the ground.

I'm happy that Samsung have at least put a little effort into the s6 (unlike the s5 debacle) but the pricing is obscene. Can I afford one? Yes I can. Will I blow £700 on a phone when my s4 is not that far behind? Nope.

Just speaking to o2 live chat, and he is saying the NHS discount isn't available on the S6, what an utter joke. Might take my business else where.

I'm hoping that as well as actual stock arriving on British shores the price drops to £500 or less pretty soon. £600 is just too much sim free for something that will depreciate so fast.

Total lack of any communication from Vodafone.
Nothing when I log in.
Only email so far when I ordered 2 weeks ago saying "awaiting confirmation"
When I ordered it suggested delivery on the 10th but I'm not holding my breath.
Not gonna waste time calling them again as I will get 5 different answers.
Last called them last week and they said yes it's been processed (no emails)

Anyone preordered with Vodafone before?

Yeah, I preordered with Vodafone for an upgrade to my contract.
I ordered the black 128GB version on the Friday morning that they preorders went live. By the Monday my tariff hadn't changed and I had no confirmation email. Contacted them again and was told the order had been entered on my account, but not processed. Straight after that I got a confirmation email and my tariff updated.
Since then I haven't heard anything and my order tracker just says order accepted. I went on live chat 30 mins ago to ask if it would still be delivered on the 10th and this was the reply....

HIM: I have checked your account and I can see that your order is confirmed with us however it has not been dispatched yet,so you will get your order on 10/04/15.
ME: That's great, I was stating to think that it had been delayed.
HIM: Do not worry at all,you will get that on time however due to easter holidays it may be delayed for one day or two since you have order a very good phone and S6 is in demand now days.

I'm not going to bet on the phone arriving this Friday.

you Guy's still sticking with the .De site. I might have found a better solution.

I would buy direct from Samsung but use there german site, so this link
http://www.samsung.com/de/consumer/mobile-devices/smartphones/galaxy-s/SM-G925FZGADBT

€ 849.01 - 32GB Edge

Similar price to the rain forest BUT BUT Samsung actually give you delivery dates.

If mobile fun screw me over on friday i'll probably go this way.

Update - False alarm, seems when you get to the order page you can't change the country :(

Waiting for sim free stock of standard Galaxy S6 128GB black, will pay upto £700 and no more.

Edge is ruled out because of pricing plus I'm not sure it's practial anyway.
