Fixed the praxis mods button, the pin that sticks out on the picture, that is supposed to anchor the bottom half of the button on by sitting in a groove, it wasn't sticking out far enough, and unlike on a authentic praxis mod, it didn't have a hole in the other side of the switch to adjust it, so I had to drill a hole, then found out that the pin was too short full stop :p

So I drilled the whole lot out, and stuck a small bolt/screw kinda thing through that I found in the shed, tightended it up, now the buttons fixed fully, sorted. working perfectly like it should. so im happy with it now.

So now its fully working, this mods great, its as light with a battery in as a nemesis without a battery or a rda sat on it, its really light. and Christ does it hit hard!

They need a good cleaning, stink of machine oil. They look well made though...And good on the SMPLs. :D
 
The smpl mod looks nice and simple :p how does the firing button work it got any locking mechanism or anything to stop it auto firing in ya pocket?

Plus it looks wider than the derringer and not 22mm? Or is that just my eyes going funny haha
 
It's just a flat coin screw spring fire button, mine works itself loose from time to time, might just be the way I fire it.

Both should be a 22mm, looks right to me, but it might be a FT 22mm.

Can someone with a nemesis and a derringer, pref in ss, post a pic of it in 18350 mode. I'm still looking for a 18350 mod :)

No locking mechanism but I've never had a problem with it firing in my pocket...Wouldn't use it with a Magma though as the Magmas long 510 connector makes the button slightly protrude from the base of the SMPL.

lol Hadn't noticed the difference in diameter...It's the Derringers that are slightly under 22mm. Using my digital callipers the SMPL mods come in at 22.1 to 22.15mm and the Derringers are 21.85 so ~0.25mm difference. You can't really see it in hand though.
 
I love the look of 18350 mode mods, but damn that little amount of power + battery life, I cant even get decent life and vapour from a mech mod as it is, when I go out my house with my nemsis I take 3 spare 18650 batterys with me :p
 
I usually build 1.4-2Ω coils for my 18350 mods and the voltage drop is not too bad. Good for me if I'm just going out for a couple of hours...But I've always got backup in the car.

What I really want to see is a Derringer on one of those 18350 SMPL clones. :D

Loving the Derringers btw! After a good soak in isopropyl and thorough cleaning I've just put in a .7Ω dual micro coil and I'm getting great flavour and decent clouds with a mech.

Christ 1.4-2 ohms :eek: if I build higher than 0.3ohms I feel like im breathing fresh air! :D
 
lol And that's why you're getting through so many batteries. I like cloud chasing as much as the next guy (maybe not if you are the next guy, Ice :P) but I wouldn't build lower than 1.2 on a 18350 tbh, it's not worth it. I get by fine with these builds and with some juice I get much better flavour with higher ohms. I can also have a quick puff in the cinema if I'm not making massive clouds...I'd like to try that with my 150w Sigelei and Dark horse. :D

Thanks buddy... 18350s and 500s are just rare because people don't like the battery life on them, even thou they are twice as long as the normal ego battery, but I think a 350 will last me a whole work day fine.

Ive had a 0.2 ohm build in a derringer before, not fun to vape with.. Far too hot.. Lol
 
Yeah, not worth the risk on an 18350. I can't stand 18350's though. They only last a few hours, I can't be hooped carrying 4 batteries with me every day. I have a backup battery in each car, but generally an 18650 will last me all day.
 
******* hell, was just having a mess around with my old 4nine mod which the magnets and fire buttons pretty nackard on since I had a short on it, guess what iv gone and done, shorted the damn thing again, Felt like I was holding a tazer in my hand :D

Luckily though the batterys fine, managed to unscrew it in half in time. filled the sink with cold water let the battery sit in it for a few mins, dried it off and it doesn't seem to be exploding so I guess I was lucky.

Damn cheap clones, im actually considering buying a authentic mod some time soon.

The praxis mods a crap clone, but the idea is genius if it was authentic and the button wasn't so shoddy I think it would be fantastic, same with the 4nine mod.

The only clone mech mod iv got that works, is trust worthy and is rock solid and not flimsy and has decent threads, doesn't fall apart etc is my nemesis mod, but damn the voltage drop through its pretty bad which is its only downfall.

Might just get a copper nemesis clone, or a hybrid top cap for it if I can find one that fits.

Oh god, why didn't I think of that before! gonna test out that theory now :D

Edit: bugger, neither 4nine or praxis mods hybrid top cap fits the nemesis, if they did that would help out its dam voltage drop a lot.

Going to google into one that fits, and yeah then ill buy a a copper nemesis, all will be sorted then. solid nemesis build quality, and lower voltage drop, boom sorted!

Well the copper nemesis that's built by the same people as the nemesis I own now is outta stock at Ft, so ill have to wait till its in stock before trying out that idea, gonna order a hybrid top cap for my nemesis that iv got now anyway.

Toyed with the idea of getting a copper praxis mod aswell, but thought better of it from the clone quality of the one I received today, only decent clone mech iv got is the nemesis like I said before.

Wouldn't mind a authentic copper praxis though, would be sweet as a nut

Edit:

Ordered the hybrid top caps, a silicone sleave in black for my sigelei and some new LG ICR18650HE2 batteries, (as them are what the 2500mah 35A efests are anyway but re-wrapped, and always used em in my sigelei without problems)

So will see if fast tech batterys are any good or not :D lets hope there not clones for god sakes haha! but there about 1/3rd the price of the batteries over here.

You soaked your batteries in water? You know they are not air tight.. Therefore aren't water tight? Rapid heating and cooling of batteries messes up the compound within them...

Sorry meh, had too many beers tonight, forgot to say I wrapped em in cling film first :p was just one or two drops of water on the battery nowt major
 
Going to make a mental, actually, going to write down on paper never to make crazy coils when iv been drinking again,

Just attempted a quad chimney coil in my airek, shorted it out whilst taking a draw and got a scorching hot burnt smokey cotton dry hit in the back of my throat and its burning like hell, Actually hurts :p Well ya live and learn.

Was all fine and dandy until I wicked it, must have knocked something to be touching some place it shouldn't

Instead of throwing money away on cheap clones that fall apart, why not actually buy a genuine? Mech mods are out of fashion and as such people cant give them away!

Also, the brass nemmy has a much lower voltage drop than the copper, if that is your thing, mine hits way harder than my overdose or panzer tiger mods.

If I could afford a authentic one I would lol, but for the price of a authentic one I can have about 15 clones lol.

Also the brass nemesis hits harder than copper? How can that be coppers more conductive?

Just noticed a fasttech package on the floor, was hoping it was the subtank it's the turbo rda, only ordered that about 7 days ago that's fast! Haha. Will have a play with it later
