best way to transfer data/contacts/calender from 4s to samsung?
smartswitch isnt recognising the iphone
any suggested apps?

azibux1 - How are you finding it? What was your previous phone?

Sorry, I missed your post earlier.

Loving it so far! Coming from a Galaxy S4.

Good points
- QUICK! I've gone into developer options and disabled all animations and installed Nova launcher
- Battery life seems good so far and luckily *touch wood* it doesn't seem to be affected by the S6/lollipop random 'cell standby' drain issue being discussed on XDA
- Screen is AMAZING!
- Fingerprint sensor is working well
- Edge is really nice to use
- Quick charge is nice! Came with ~50% battery which I've used up... Got it down to 1%, been on charge for 14 minutes and I'm on 25% (the phone is on while charging)... Pretty quick I'd say. EDIT: Now been on charge for 1 hour, phone was on but I wasn't using it, and it has gone from 1% to 83%

Bad points
- I want some protection for it, preferably a decent leather pouch but am struggling to find one at the moment (so general lack of 'nice' accessories)
- Shame you can use the fingerprint website login on Chrome (stock browser only)
- Can't think of any others :D

Use something from the iPhone to get them onto google contacts... Then just sign in with your google account on the S6?

ah that is a shame did wonder about that. sounds great though... very jealous :)

I haven't looked into it with great detail, but it seems to be the case... As soon as I logged in on the stock browser to a website it prompted me to see if I want to save that password and replace it/use the fingerprint... Same website on chrome gave no prompt

I was out on the hunt for something similar but due to how new the device, the retailers only had the official Samsung cases. I ended up going for the flip wallet for £24.99 in EE. (I know the price is crazy but I'm super clumsy :D). I think the case is great and provides good overall protection and has a great feel to it as well.

Sounds like the smart scrolling stuff introduced on the S4, ends up being a complete waste of time because it's bizarrely encoded to only work within Samsung apps so it wouldn't do the scrolling stuff outside of the stock browser.

If they've done the same with the fingerprint scanner, they may have shot themselves / Android in the foot as it'll completely kill it's ability to be used for smart payments etc. unless you're happy to do it all from Samsung applications only.

Nice! I tried one again today and yes its blazing fast. What's the stock browser like btw?

Pouch wise - look for one for a similar sized phone...S5 or Z3

Here's one...plenty of different colours

Not bad... I'm just not a fan of flip cases unfortunately, I want the phone itself in my hand when using it, then put it in a pouch when in my pocket.

I find flip cases really annoying when trying to take pictures, they just get in the way lol :p

That annoyed me with my S4 haha, then again it was a more gimmicky feature, the fingerprint sensor has the potential to be quite useful.

Yeah not sure on the specifics. It says you can use it with PayPal but haven't tried that yet

Haven't used it much, but from a quick test the stock browser is actually not too bad. Straight out of the box it offers nearly-full screen browsing (notification bar still shows) which is nice. Also seems fairly fast and smooth when scrolling etc

Yeah that's a good idea actually, will compare sizes with some phones (including the ones you mentioned) and maybe do that. I want it to be a good fit though.

EDIT: Quick google shows the S5 is VERY close in size

Received mine at noon, not had much time with it but visually it is a stunning looking phone. Build quality is very good, however I did notice my camera module isn't centered, i doubt it will affect the function so I'm not going to be anal about it and send it back.

Big image...

Might help if you remove the shipping protection plastic from over the lens.
