** BEATS BY DR DRE - AVAILABLE NOW **

People have no idea about costs to produce. They think you add the item cost prices up and put on 5% and you have the cost, but it's somewhat different in the real world..

I remember when 20% was a good profit margin.

now you watch dragons den etc and they all want stupid profit margins sometimes double and triple the cost if not more...

shows how much people get ripped off especially when these items are designed to be out of date within a year

The truth is people with money like to buy things poor people can't and that's why items such as these and apple watches are ridiculous prices

people spending 10k+ on stupid apple watches etc don't deserve their money, if they want something poor people can;t afford to do then why not give to charity instead of some companies shareholders

nah, we can get them at the moment. so I am giving them a go to see if people are interested.

Its not a stock risk really so I don't understand why people are so worried about how this decision will impact OcUK?

I'm not really worried about it impacting OcUK as I figure you guys kinda know what you're doing :P I'd just like to see the figures out of genuine curiosity, to see how good or bad such product can sell from somewhere that is obviously enthusiast orientated.

The entire technology sectors has been built in the last few years on the emperors new clothes, the overclocking community is one of that mantra's finest exponents. I just spend 5 times as much on the new GPU and it's 5% better. I am the KING....

Any chance of some AKGs instead? :D

If I could I would in a flash,

Sennheiser were happy to let us sell their range.

Dre beats increases our portfolio

This can only help in the long run of trying to get other key brands in :)

Who knows they may even sell really well for us which would give us more hunger to expand quicker.

My 2015 target is FiiO which is proving harder than Anticipated :)

Reminds me i need to bring in the new urbanites from sennheiser.

It's interesting that in a hard market for high end hi-fi manufacturers that many of them seem to be getting worse, rather than better at managing their business relationships.

I've got about seven pairs of Beats. All fakes made to exact spec.

I really like them. I was a 90s raver so I have a lot of hardcore and drum and bass and nothing else I have comes close to blowing your head off.

They kinda sound like sitting in a car loaded with subs which is nice.

I listen to a lot of classical too and they're useless for that, but for rock, Ampunk (American Punk, think Ramones and Social Distortion etc) they are bloody brilliant.

Any beat driven music is fun to listen to on them.

This is a SKU I'd be embarrassed to have, saying that if it makes coin then crack on!

You could have made a relationship with someone solid from Europe like Beyerdynamic.

nothing that makes a profit is embarrassing.

we are direct with Beyerdynamic but they only supply us their gaming range as their hifi range is held exclusively for hifi specialists.

Sadly most hi-fi companies hold a poor selection, I know, I just bought some.

Here in the US, it's actually federal law that you must be wearing Beats at all times or you're sent to the chair. Well, that's the only explanation I can think of anyway...

I think you've done a good job, it's easily overlooked. Bringing in microphones, dacs, new headphones etc this is only good news for everybody.

I don't get all the hate. There's a market for most things even if the market is mugs :D. I'm sure they'll sell well.

Not my cup of tea though :(.

Is it though? I thought the overclocking community was all about NOT buying the top-end, and overclocking cheaper stuff to the same level :p

Well, until that started eating margins and companies realised they could charge more for "better clocking" (read: un-gimped) hardware.
