Hey guys well I have already made my order for my new gaming rig, realising that my CPU I bought with it i5-4690K might not work. I then went onto their site and checked the board and scrolled down and seen this;

Core i5 Haswell Refresh i5-4690K 100 3.5 1M 6M C0 88 HD Graphics 4600 1200MHz

Would that mean it will work with the mobo, as I can't see any Haswell Refresh version of this CPU if there is any lol.

Many thanks

The 4690K is a Devils Canyon (basically Haswell refresh) cpu so may need a bios update for it to work. It depends how recently the board left the factory. Be very careful though as being a MSI board there is a high chance of bricking the board.

Nothing at all? That's strange as the wifes Gigabyte B85M-D3H overclocks my 4670k no problem. I would'nt have gone with a MSI board. The chance of bricking the board when updating the bios is extremely high. They have never solved their bios flashing problems which is poor seeing as they have had the problem for years.
