***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

I'm having an issue with the anti aliasing, I still see jaggies all over the place with 4x MSAA

Never use FXAA too blury, and TXAA made 0 difference either anyone got a fix?

would my gpu cause stuttering in this game if my VRAM is nearly using all 3gb
i have turned off msaa, which was causing fps drops but i thought it was my VRAM usage at 2930mb what was causing the drops.

I was having serious issue with stutter/rubber banding (nicked from someone here) where the FPS drops and then catches up. tried all sorts. I was using a solid 3.2MB of vram (i have a 980)

I was very disappointed as it could only have been my rig. which was bought for GTA V

However switched Post FX to normal last night and it went away. I have now set textures to ultra and everything else that can be ultra and it is smooth as. Switch on post FX to high and it runs like a dog...

Not sure why this is.

Mine runs pretty terribly and also doesn't look amazing, the foliage looks like mesh... with all AA off everything else set to high.

290, 8350 @ 4.4 and 8 Gb ram

Get about 40 fps...

Any suggestions?

Is this at 1080p? 'Cause something's definitely wrong if so. Do other games run ok? Regardless, you're gonna struggle a bit anyway because Intel seems to run much better than AMD, and 4.4 simply isn't that high of an OC.

I think online is a bit broken at the moment, or so it seems. For example, I was playing free roam last night and everyone else in the server disconnected. So I was driving about on my own :(

Nobody else joined either, so I went off to do a team deathmatch thing, that was laggy and weird. First map was OK, next map it hung and everyone suddenly disconnected again and I was kicked back to free roam, but this time there were people in the server.

Weird.

AMD CPU's are getting destroyed in GTAV. Thing is people need to get this the right way round. It's not that the CPU's are bad. It's because DX11 cant use multi core CPU's efficiently enough to leverage the performance of the 8 core AMD CPU's in multi threading. You need a CPU with strong single threaded performance.

DX12 would have sorted this.

My headset is in a dpd van ready to be delivered between 430 and 530 so I'm gonna be online tonight and hopefully try my first heists.

Hopefully will meet some of you guys on there

I agree, the crash physics in 5 could do with a slitght buff, but I like the way the cars handle. I think that Motorbikes are hilarious, almost like the are on rails!

Think I'm going to take my new $10k Pro Bicycle for a "round los santos" trip this evening. All the way around the map sticking where possible to the coast. For me this is very appealing.

Im not gonna lie, its the type of thing I find myself doing in single player so far.

OCUK Cycle Club?

I have two 980s and says I have 8GB of Vram. I can set textures to very high but it pushes it to 6.5GB. Where is it getting these numbers from? How can it be using both sets of 4GB of vram? Lol...

My factory FX6300 is doing a great job.

I bought at Eclipse Towers, and apparently that was a bad idea as a lot of people buy from there and it gets "messy".

For the lel, I'd like to run at 4k scaled squeezed into a 1080p output. Any easy way of doing this? I'll lock the game to 30fps. Think I MIGHT be able to do it haha. See how it looks.

it takes system memory into account in that slider, not Vram it's very odd but there ya go
