Starwars 7 Trailer 16th of April

The guy in the mask is luke right? The lightsabre that gets passed over is vaders so presumably this family member is fighting the person we saw in the first trailer. I hope they don't release anything more, I can't resist watching it.

Yeah I think the guy in the mask is Luke, but it's Luke's lightsaber that's being passed over.

My theory is that it's Han and Leia's daughter that Luke is speaking to and hands the lightsaber over to as he's training her. I also think it'll be Daisy Ridley's character that's their daughter.

I'm not a big fan of trailers.

However; yes! Yes! YES! All the yes! Cannot wait , it's like being a child again.

How did they manage that?.

The Vader shot was a bit weird, he got cremated yet it looks more like he got a good booting instead. Wonder if thats actually in the movie or just something knocked up for this teaser? Assuming its something done for the teaser only.

It looks melted & thoroughly charred to me, pretty much the way you'd expect it to look after it's been sat on a funeral pyre.

People lets all stay calm and not jump the gun, as much as we are willing to give Abrams the benefit of the doubt, and as Lucas has little to do with this though it is Disney now, let's not forget the hope and optimism of 1999 and then the bludgeoning Lucas gave us with Jar Jar ****ing Binks. I'm still mentally scarred.

Lawrence Kasdan did the screenplay with JJ and he did Empire/Jedi etc. Lucas having little to do with it is probably a good thing given the best of the old films was the one where he let other people have more involvement.

I'll be honest, I've never been a huge fan of the films. However I'm actually really excited for this. I think it's because it'll feel modern but without the terrible acting, CGI and just being terribly written and directed in the prequel trilogy. I may have to sit through the films again this summer and I definitely think I'll be heading down the cinema this Christmas to watch it.
