***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

I'm still on 8gb manering and it's fine. Unless you have other programs hogging it then it shouldn't be an issue, it uses a fair bit of RAM but nowhere near 8gb unless you're getting the memory leak bug.

i did get a memory message yesterday pop up after game crashed but only had it once.. it seems to mainly happen when in a car or in the air, however it has happened once or twice while just walking around

Check to see how big your page file is, some games and programs still use it even if you have huge amounts of RAM.

Also after playing for a while maybe alt tab out and check how much RAM the game is using a see if it keeps increasing.

Yes it's a new update.

Ok,

Very slow :( I guess everyone is downloading it. 44kb/s :(

Weirdly I just had my first crash after hours of playing fine. I was just in an ammunition shop and bam ERR_GFX_D3D_INT error. Seems to be a common thing. Might be something to do with running msi afterburner and fraps overlays maybe.

or maybe the launcher detected I didn't have the correct version and crashed me out so it could install the update :p

are you using a Samsung SSD? if so make sure its in performance mode otherwise it screws up the system vertual memory and causes 'low memory' crashes

I dont go after anybody in freeroam, unless they shoot at me of course. Isnt the reason for crews to roll together, protecting and murdering others?

My first experience of playing online was dying at lvl 2

GG ocuk clan.

Might as well leave it and join on where people don't play death match but then again it's ocuk so can expect people to be only able to kill noob players that just joined the server 2 mins ago....

Looks like the patch was to fix the windows username error:

Unfortunately it's too difficult to control all those in the clan, some people as you say will join just to troll other members instead of working together.

Had a clan member earlier kick me out of his car and kill me just to get my bounty, when I'd sat in the vehicle expecting him to help me out.

Nexus, dude stop being a girl. I wasn't saying you "need to be a good boy in the races"

What I was saying is that if you are going to troll I won'the joining the races.

You bought the game play it how you like, I will be racing even if I always lose, I don't enjoy quitting even if I'm going to finish dead last all play list.

Enable passive mode

Hit "m", scroll down a bit.

You can't harm any one and no one can harm you.

I've played for 7 hours now and am genuinely worried that I won't be able to get a handle on how the map 'works', if you know what I mean? I'm normally an FPS player and can imagine/see in my minds eye how the maps flows because they're small - at least comparatively - and repetition breeds familiarity.

But this is just H-U-G-E.

On the plus side, it's running and glorious at 60 fps with almost everything on very high or high, no MSAA, on a 4690k (@4.5), 8 GB of ram and a 280X with 3GB. No bugs, no crashes, no stutter - it's flawless and really, REALLY good fun.

Still worried about map comprehension though :(
