Do any air coolers beat the Corsair H75

pretty sure all big air coolers will do just as well or better while being cheaper, quieter and more reliable.
Noctua NH-D14 cools nearly as well as the H75's big brother, the H100i here;

And it does it more quietly.
Most of the premium big air coolers will match or beat the smaller closed loop jobs for cooling, and will generally be quieter.

Even the premium CLC coolers are hard pressed to cool as well as top air coolers .. and much louder. Slow down their fans to same noise level and it's no contest.
People fell for the sailboat hype about CLCs. Unless you get an AIO like the Swiftech H220-X or Swiftech H240-X (which are not CLCs, but are more like a pre-filled kit) or get a starting level water cooling bundle you are better off using a top tier air cooler.

Had a H100 on my 3930K and went for a Thermaltake Frio Extreme, it's 5c cooler even with push-pull fans on the h100.
