***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

This game infuriates me more than any I've played recently.

Load the game up and my 360 pad works, nothing changes but then next time i try it doesn't work.

Crashes to desktop which then requires a restart.

Launcher is hit and miss whether it will load without an error message, if it does error then it will only work again if i restart it.

It's a cracking game but some of the design logic and errors are just plain stupid.

Not had any of that here

I Don't know why so many people have problem with the game, my only complain is loading time for online missions and the only glitch I had was getting stuck when entering the car he got stuck for 5 sec, I don't remeber when was the last time I owned game that was running glitch free like gta v

Question:

I have read on a few places that the x360 headet and mic, can be plugged into the x360 controller for PC and it works.

Can anyone confirm if this does work? I want to jump on TS tonight and play online but due to work I cant get to the shops to get a proper headset tonight.

Thanks

Might be your controller software?

I'm using a PS4 pad and have no issue with it whatsoever. And not ran into many errors, launcher runs fine.

Should work fine, think you have to set it to Push to Talk though.

Both patches done in seconds for me, not sure what the drama is.

R9 290 - Very High and 2xMSAA 40-80Fps

Highly recommend turn everything off in Advanced Graphics , people are having some issues with it.

By the way i am only running an FX-6100 @ 4.42Ghz CPU

i,m having problems with online. No other players show up on the map, just the blue icons, and when i try to start (host) a job no one joins, is anyone else having this problem?

Edit: Just an update on this problem, in case people stumble upon this post with the same problem.

It turns out that motherboards with Killer network adapters (I have the msi za87-g45 motherboard) have to update to the latest killer network manager for GTA V Online to work.

I didn't searched everywhere and found some people with exactly the same problem, happy to say that upgrading to the latest version of the driver (from the MSI website) and make sure that GTA V was set to highest performance in the app, sorted my problems completely!!

Is it me or has GTA 5 taken step backwards from GTA 4, ok the graphics are great in gta 5 and it runs smooth, but the game play, driving physics, ragdoll effects, in GTA 4, and other stuff, still feels way better, and it was more challenging!
GTA5 feel like a bland experience, and dumbed down, dunno maybe it just me, or do others share the same view!

GTA 4 the driving was much better.

I replayed GTA IV about 6 months ago. GTA V is far better all round IMO.

Does anyone know if putting the graphics settings on default is the most optimized settings? I have i5 4690 and gtx 970 and the fps is going all over the place. I was told leaving v-sync off would get rid of mouse lag.

I prefer V to IV in all areas even the driving, there's a good mix of cars that can drift and slide around and ones which stick the road with tight turning. My hot rod turns like a bus but I love driving it.
